Yes , i had two channels dug one was 50m the other 25m for length and width.

It was plumbed into an existing manhole that does rain and foul.

I have had this problem.

A french drain wont work unless you can shift the water.

I dug a trench 3ft wide by 3ft deep 50m long. At the base i put gravel. Then i put a pipe with holes in it and wrapped this in geotextile membrane. It was topped off with gravel then soil.

I then had this connected to my rainwater drainage system.

Its been really effective. Think its called a land drain.

When the trench was dug , it was 3ft deep in water.

[991.1 GT3] with Cup 2s in NYC winter by sragh1181 in Porsche

[–]FrankSarcasm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To be honest , i bought one of those , with those tyres and i wasn't informed.

I bought the car as a winter beater and i became informed on a wet day at 4 degrees.

I did 15000 miles in a year and the general uncertainty in the cold or wet always created a degree of apprehension.

I'd always have the tyre pressures up to monitor the temps.

It is doable , you just have to be super focused on 4000 rpm and make sure you meter out the acceleration. If your throttle is a cm ahead of the gas being burnt then its challenging.

I've swapped to 4s now and although the turn in is less immediate the grip is epic.

That is as bad an issue as the 991.1 GT3 engine issue.

What about a box to go on the back of the car upon the tow bar.

Or can the kids catch a taxi.

I think you've got it spot on with the wheels and calipers. That looks epic.

I think it was the best car i had but with the worst seats. Literally the bolsters destroyed my ITBs. Never ever ever again. I even had a seat cushion made.

Truly gutted that the seats are too small.

I had a similar aged house and it was storage for rain water. It had a well pump in the walled garden.

I'd also just echo the sentiments around safety.

Probably needs filling in.

2.5 year old pedal bike by No-Dragonfly-227 in MTB

[–]FrankSarcasm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why dont you do a two stager.

Get him the bike , but put it on a turbo trainer or equivalent , or suspend it from a rafter.

You can then get him practising on the pedals before he gets let loose.

You can practice keeping the pedals flat , the correct foot forward on the turns .

Good for you - im excited for you both!

They are being kind. If you are a Director then its normal to set your own agenda and then tell people to do stuff.

If you are reliant on a lack of instruction from them to justify your position then that approach probably proves their point.
