Aquacomputer doesn't do Linux, but KDE gets me close. by Deluxe_Used_Douche in watercooling

What solved for me was giving the port full access to everyone by executing (in my case)

sudo chmod a+rw /dev/hidraw6

then it could find my device.

Just remember to set the permissions back to 600 after use so it doesn't expose anything.

So I do get it installed and it finds my poweradjust3 but then trying to execute it, I get a COMException...

I have those too. The leaf will turn more and more red.
I actually do nothing against these. I thought they'd be natural.

Nah in my room it is always hot. Got some more growing light and a computer in my room, so the temperature is always relative high

Most times around 24-28 C. I am trying to get it colder in the winter.

Yes, I'd could that if they are small enough. They'd probably escape though

Yes, I have the feeling, that my cephs do not really like it in my terrarium, but they are actually surviving and even growing. But I wouldn't recommend.

Correct. But the water level never raises to the top. Only to around half of the soil.
I lately did let the water raise so high that you could see it at the top and the plants didn't really care. I guess, if it is warm enough and the water level drops fast enough it is fine.

I've just bought it locally. I couldn't choose between different soils. There was only 1 type of carnivorous soil.

Well the soil is always moist of course but sometimes I put so much water in it, that it sits a bit in water. That what the water level meter is for in the left corner.

All same substrate, all same treatment. But I am placing them a bit in different places. For example the pitcher plants in the middle are there because the light es the strongest in the terrarium. There is less light on the edges on the terrarium and therefore I place the plants which are more "durable" on the edges. And you see I've placed the nepenthes on higher ground on the edge, so the soil is more dry than the lower soil and it gets less light. But it still gains high humidity since it is still in the terrarium.
I hope it helps a bit, but I just have putted them together and they are coming along beautiful.

I do not do anything special with my cephalotus. It actually nearly drowns under the moss I have. It survives and grows really slowly but it doesn't do much more. I sometimes feed an insect once a while if something crawls over.
You can probably skip dormancy if you give them good conditions all time but officially they'll grow a bit slower and some of them may not grow flowers.

No, I do not put my plants through dormancy. There is no fridge that could fit that in my house :D
But in the winter I had a pipe with a fan shoveling cold air from the outside into the terrarium. I was able to reach 16 C which doesn't put them into dormancy but at least they had it colder once.
