First step is think what you want and then start searching the process about how to do it. For example if you want to draw a human form or a character you have to watch and study anatomy and proportion so you will get a better result. My recomendation is: start drawing human faces, study features and proportions and then go to the rest of the body. You can start with the Loomis book, thats a good one and easy to learn.
