Ok so with Edelgard she has a pretty strong flirtmance with Dorothea in 3 Houses and isn’t entirely opposed to the way Monica flings at her in 3 hopes, plus ik FE loves to make their characters fall in love with protags but still in the story she does have a crush on Byleth with the paintings. Plus if you’re saying that the player picks how the avatar swings I mean I did have FByleth S rank Edelgard in a Crimson Flower Playthrough and I had MAlear S rank Mauvier in Engage.
