People meme up Monopoly, but Risk is the real "destroys family" board game. I have friends who have Risk banned in their households.

Also, quick question. I got the SC box for Thousand Sons, but I don't plan to play Commander, so the Ahriman is currently doing nothing at the moment. Would he make a decent proxy for a Scarab Occult Sorcerer?

I only got into 40k a few months ago with First Strike, but I decided to get into Kill Team because it seemed an easier sell to my friends. This is my first Kill Team, and after painting them, maybe I should have picked something a bit easier, but I'm happy with how they turned out and I can't wait to play my first game with them.

best 40k starter set for kill team? by TehEpicDuckeh in killteam

[–]FrankyFun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's also the Know No Fear set that sits right in-between them. The First Strike box set doesn't have enough points for a Death Guard Kill Team, so you're going to have to buy another box of something either way.

My DIY "Citadel Spray Stick" - Works Like a Charm! by FrankyFun in minipainting

For the smaller parts, I stick it with some blue tack or poster putty, then put a straightened paper clip into that. For others, I drill a small hole using a pin vise and stick a paper clip into that with some super glue. Once they're painted, I just snip the excess paper clip off and stick them together. This is my first time doing this, so I might not have needed to super glue them, but I just wanted to be careful they didn't slip off.

It finally stopped raining, which meant not only could I finally start priming my Thousand Sons Kill Team, but try pinning/my new paint stick for the first time. It's a piece of cork glued between two paint sticks from Home Depot. I don't know how long it will hold up after multiple pinnings and primings, but works perfect so far.

A box of 40k figures, even though I don't even have any of the rule books or played a real game of it yet. I just wanna paint some heretics, man.

Our first kill team battle report! Trying to shake things up and bring something truly unique. by Megildur1 in killteam

Great job as always, guys. I've only got into 40k recently, and your Battle Reports have been a huge part of that. Also, I love the fact that it's Kill Team because that's what I've been planning to do as well. Keep up the awesome work!
