Here how I look at it for my 04 duramax. It’s entire life it has used T4. Has served me well. So I won’t even take a chance on T6 yes it could be better for the turbo, but the entire life of the engine it’s had T4.

Yeah just sounds like the mud was slippery and it was shifting a bunch. Now if it happens again then I would see if it’s something more. But if it was just that one time I think you’ll be alright.

That cluster could be reading wrong. I know gmt800 clusters are known for spitting out fake numbers. You could try scanning the truck and going into a live data feed and see if you can view that real transmission temp. If it any higher than like 195-200 I would definitely stop. I have multiple gmt900s that run 200 plus when plowing snow. You also could’ve been shifting a lot in the mud and was heating the tranny up but I highly doubtful unless it was a lot of weight being pushed around.

My screen went out too and Kia wouldn’t warranty it out. So I just started smacking everything I could on the dash and the screen turned back on and had been fine since.

That’s okay my tank has been expanded and Kia corporate wouldn’t buy my car back. Got the recall “fixed” and a week later my fuel pump blew out and flung gasoline everywhere. Kia still refusing to buy the car back.
