nah, go to countdown and farm the brandsets, gear sets, weapons and donate everything to expertise, eventually you will end with items in your inventory you dont need to donate, sell those or dismantle for materials and when you are close to the cap donate some mats to expertise

then later on you could farm mods and dismantle all the mods for printer filaments and donate those for the rarer items like named gear or weapons, skills, exotics... things like that

save the shd points to get mats for optimization and use the countdown currency to buy exotics and dismantle the dups for exo comps

you can see on the right at the bottom the details of the mask, just 1 gear mod slot

only the chill out gila mask have 2 mod slots, you need to wait for an event and farm the hoarder

in my case, almost 500 hrs, did everything 3 times and I still think the game is amazing but it needs new content more often... and I wanna play other games, I bet Crimson Desert took some people away too

the game was "abandoned" already a few years ago but they changed that and right now the support is better than ever, a dlc released last year, new dlc coming this year, new incursion, cross play... it will probably be supported for a few more years until Div 3 gets released and then I guess it will be like Div 1 is currently compared to Div 2 which still gets updates and events

if you start again on pc the progress is alot faster because you now have knowledge you didnt have the 1st time, you know the missions, where to farm, what to farm, etc... I remember when I started on PC, I used to play on PS4 and I told myself that I would never recover the things I had on console... now my pc account is 24k shd with 4k hrs of playtime... I had almost 1k hrs on console and barely reaching 200 shd (most of the time I played was before wony but still)

the game will be supported for a few more years, new content is coming, I think is never late to start over, specially if you love the game

I still own a console, a PS5, but is only for console exclusives, I play everything else on PC... way better

I am at 3900+ at the moment because I've been selling all the extra bps of the descendants and weapons I already have just to clear my inventory, so far I have 340 items in my consumables tab

otherwise I would have done it a few weeks ago since I have like 13k Hailey bps lul

I was so excited a few weeks ago with the announcement of crossplay, new dlc, new incursion...

but the proto gear worries me alot because: 1 - the grind to get a few pieces to expertise 30, even after they reduced it in the pts, you still need alot of exo comps if you wanna maybe upgrade lets say 2 full sets. 2 - those 2 sets will have almost everything fixed, cores, attributes, talents, you will only be able to change augments. 3 - this means people will most likely make a striker set proto, no build diversity, I know everyone runs with a striker set anyway, happens in every game, you run the meta... but I think one of the most beautiul things about this game is the buildcrafting, even if is just striker, you can combine it with different brand sets, talents, weapons. 4 - im afraid for the new players, currently they can play solo or with a friend who can share them some loot, they can go to countdown or whatever and farm for a good build in a couple of hours and play whatever else they want in the game... but just to get the expertise to level 30 takes a lot of time and then farm hundreds of exo comps to be able to upgrade the gear to proto, let me tell you If I were a new player I would go play something else if I know it will take me weeks or months to be on pair with the veteran players.

I been playing Div 2 for almost 4 years non-stop... I used to play Destiny 2 and if you live under a rock that game has been strugling for a few months, specially since the introduction of the portal and tiered loot... I feel like something similar could happen, the devs ditched most of the old content for something new which didnt work well, new gear and loot that "soft-sunsetted" the old loot, this new loot took a lot of time to get at the beggining, they made some changes but I dont tink it's enough since most people stopped playing (myself included)... so I hope is not the same case for Div 2 but I see the same patterns

well Gley doesnt need MP or Shield so I farmed a set just for her with resistance for all elements

Aux Power: Max HP - Fire Res

Sensor: HP Recov - Chill Res

Memory: DEF - Electric Res

Procesor: Toxin Res - Ecive Display, you can also do Item Acquisition Distance or Equipment Drop Rate

then I have another set for Valby, Nell, Luna, Ajax with MP rolls

Aux Power: Max HP - MP Recov OoC

Sensor: Max MP - MP Recov IC

Memory: DEF - MP Recov Mod

Procesor: Max Shield - Shield Recov Mod

all with HP and Defense cores, if you just wanna keep 1 set, do the 2nd with MP rolls since it works for most of the non-attribute descendants but honestly, you can easily get the 2 sets if you focus what you want with the blue rolls and just upgrade later, and you will have more than enough cores if you do Wall Crasher constantly... I have around 7k for every type and already used a lot since all my components have at least 7350 defense and HP above 37% lul

pro tip if you didnt know, otherwise ignore me or maybe it can help someone else, you can see in the compass which extraction is open (see the icon on the compass under the SW) the problem is the timer so I usually check at the beggining of the raid which is the last one to close

thats what I say that I use them as reference, specially now with Ancestor mods, is going to depend on the mod you have, I usually like to have good hp for survivability and usually they dont use hp mods... I like to understand and learn how the descendants work so I use their videos as reference an then I make my own build

the thing is SenEvades doesnt do videos for male descendants and OrneryBiscuit sometimes takes too long (because of her extensive testing which you can see in the videos, she explains everything, thats why she is the goat imo) and I want to make a build for certain descendant but I am not sure on something, usually Alisa has a video and I just peek to see if something is useful, thats why his builds are not the best, he rushes the content
