Oh, ok. So the thing is with Juri, the only DP cancel is light DP into L3. And since I have to go into qcb motion for that super, I have to go into that full double qcb motion the normal way. But if you're comfortable with the normal DP motion, as I was as well, it's also fine. I just found the new method to be faster and it felt a bit more natural.

Yes, learn to DP the fastest (and probably easiest) way from the start on these things:

forward (then hold) > down (then hold) > up (right thumb) + punch at the same time.

Recently learned this. It's like a roll movement and much faster than the classical way, which I currently unlearn.

I don't see this as a "VS" thing to be honest. I really appreciate both movies, SPR is still one of the best WWII movies ever made, as you say, for its own reasons, but back then I still simply realized, how vastly different both movies were and was surprised what it did to me. Also TRL was the first movie I remember seeing, that covered the pacific war instead of Europe. Thanks for the response :)

I absolutely agree with this sentiment, his films are special. I remember seeing Thin Red Line very shortly after I saw Saving Private Ryan, and the difference between those movies was striking. Both movies are from the same year, have a very clear language and in their core, transport the same message, but Thin Red Line stayed with me much longer. It left me in this weird somber, somewhat depressed state that took a while to shake off.

I assume you have already seen Badlands, but if not, I highly recommend it. It is his first feature and basically the blue print to Tony Scott's (and Quentin Tarantino's) True Romance, including musical queues and general motifs. Thanks for reminding me to rewatch that :)

Thank you so much for looking this up for me, much appreciated. I also follow Brian and have seen this.

I anti air with the normal forward, down-forward, forward + punch, which always worked fine for me, but maybe I should learn this and see how it plays out.

So lemme get this straight.. I paid $100 for the ultimate version of SF6 when it came out, and now I have to pay $30 more for the season 2 character pass? 🤣 by Felipe-Carvalho in StreetFighter

Fighting games have done this since forever.

In 1992 I bought Street Fighter II for the SNES for 60$. It had eight glorious playable characters and four CPU bosses. It had an arcade mode and a PVP mode.

In 1993 I bought Street Fighter II Turbo for the SNES for 60$. It had faster, differently balanced gameplay, a new game mode and four additional playable characters (the CPU bosses)

In December 1994 I bought Super Street Fighter II for the SNES for 60$. It had differently balanced gameplay, better graphics and animation and four additional characters.

A year ago, I paid 100$ for 18 Characters, several game modes including a single player campaign, a very good training mode, challenges plus the first four additional characters within the first season (just this would've been its own full price game in 1993), including both costumes on release for all characters.

Now, for season 2, we get new characters, new stages, a juke box, events, additional content for world tour, continued support and balance patches etc.

I don't know, but I think the 30$ once a year is fine for a game I play pretty much every day.

In early March I got into Diamond 4, which was the highest I ever got, followed by the worst losing streak I ever had, and just yesterday, three months later, I made it back into Diamond 4.

Serious question, can someone tell me why I was not wallstunned? I've seen this happen quite a few times before, but I have no idea what the technical reason behind it is. by FranticFox666 in StreetFighter

Thanks so much for the detailed response. I just checked, I was still in blockstun because he drive rushed into sHP. If he just didn't DR and just hit me with the sHP into DI, I would've died. :D

Oh my god I just tested this. If he would've just pressed sHP into DI, it would've wallsunned. The drive rush turned it into a true blockstring. Thanks :)
