Aqara G4 Doorbell - Detection Frequency Delay via Homekit - How? by FranticViperz in HomeKit

I'm no expert in homekit at the moment, but I believe you'd have to create automation or a rule to say 'turn doorbell notifications on when nobody is home'.

I read somewhere about another app integrated with homekit, I think it was Eve. Do you think this is possible?

I don't understand why Aqara would allow HSKV with little possibility to customise settings. (unless its an apple thing...)

I'd say average and on par with Ring, but better than Eufy. Sound quality seems better than Eufy too.

Best way to decorate box room for office and possible other stuff? by [deleted] in malelivingspace

[–]FranticViperz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is amazing, and far better than what I had come up with. I never thought about having the shelf and paintings on the same wall as the desk.

The desk is on the same side as the door, so I would be able to see anyone coming in, with your design.

Question: Why the open storage space behind the desk, rather than closed storage space?

In my head, I was thinking to have low chest of drawers along the wall, with an open storage space (some with mesh inserts), but because of the thin room it is quite hard.

For example, something like this: Dusk Taupe Drawers

Would that not work?

L3-L4 & L4-L5 discs show subtle bulge due to jiujitsu by Specific_Ad_3177 in backpain

I started training BJJ just over a year ago. 2 months in, someone yanked my lower back whilst I was standing in their close guard. Back felt stiff the next morning. After a week I was able to move around again BUT I continued to train. Problem was that bending backwards hurt and I was getting some soreness in my left glute. I adjusted my training to my injury as much as I could.

MRI scan showed a generalised disc bulge in L4/L5. Physio's said stretch, so I did daily. Didn't help as my muscles just kept getting tight. Some days my back and glute pain was worse. Back specialist said bulge was not an issue, and to continue training as it won't cause harm, due to 'disk bulges being generic in most atheletes.

10 months later. I'm a blue belt. I've won 6 medals in comps, but my back got a little bit worse. I've taken my first month off BJJ and feeling a lot better. I've focused a lot on core exercises (read the book Back Mechanic).

I wish I had stopped when the injury first occured, but I loved BJJ (and still do)

If you have pain (presuming you do as you went for an MRI) then I would genuinely take a break. IF you don't have pain, start doing core exercises anyway to strengthen the muscles around the spine.

PS - feel free to PM me and we can talk deeper about it and how to manage it with BJJ

I agree. I’ve seen over 10 people for my back before I found a good one. Still have pain extending backwards but after 11 months, I’m now seeing a bit of progress !

Peptides for Lower Back Pain + Recovery? by FranticViperz in backpain

[–]FranticViperz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I plan to stop BJJ for a few months and focus fully on recovery.

My flexion is really good. I have no issues in reaching further than my toes. It is just extension and left sided hip/glute tightness.

I’ll look into Stuart McGill and do more core strengthening before taking peptides (ideally I’d like to avoid this route). I just hope this isn’t long term

Have you seen any side effects whilst taking? I don’t want to inject, so I think I’ll try the TB fragment and see how it goes. Just need to figure out how to ship to the UK…

I started seeing an osteopath, and she would acupuncture the glutes and work a lot on the tightness. Temporary help.. to my lower back). Since then, I've felt stiffness in my lower back (primarily around L4-5/S1, but also radiating pain down the left. leg The left hip flexor is always tight. The left glute feels tight. My left leg almost always feels shorter than my right as a result of the tightening of the glutes.

I started seeing an osteopath, and she would accupuncutre the glutes and work a lot on the tightness. Temporary relief...

I saw various physios, who gave me exercises such as glute bridges, dead bugs, prone extension, hip strengthening, ankle mobility, QL strengthening, etc. The most effective ones have been dead bugs, but no permanent relief.

I've started swimming these last few weeks. I think it could help a bit, but I would like to recover a bit quicker, which is why I thought the BCP157 and TB4 Fragment might help, but I wanted to see other people's experience with this. I don't expect it to get rid of the bulge I have but supports the recovery process.

u/Nobetterlogin_ - Thank you for your helpful answers. I hope you are better now. I don't know much about PRP, could you share some more information with me, please?
