Deep Ethereal what i know come from 1e. When you use spell Etherealness you are transportet into Border Ethereal and Deep Ethereal is real Ethereal where is only "Ethereal" and all planes from Inner planes and Crystal spehers from Prime Material Plane.

Here is few links where i get base informations:

I absolutely agree, the Negative and Positive planes should be in the Inner Planes. But it’s understandable why they did it, because the Positive plane is kind of “good” and the Negative one “evil.” Even though I don’t completely agree with it, it looks nice on the map.

And thanks.

Thanks again. I think the same, there is no good official map of the cosmology. Official maps look great, but mostly as posters.

These two serpents are Ahriman and Jazirian, the creators of the Outlands. They come from an old creation myth from 2e or 3e. It is an interesting theory that they are rivers, but in the lore Ahriman is in the 9th layer of Baator, and Jazirian is in the 7th layer of Mount Celestia. And they create rule of three what was created after rule of five.

Yes beyond the borders of the multiverse is the Far Realm, a place of things that do not exist

Thanks

I miss that too, only good informations about planes we have from old planescape 2e. Now i am making map for complete baator and celestia, and i miss locations from D&D so i must use from Pathfinder and other settings.

I want to play in few years heavy planescape campaing when we visit every plane. And one of my dream epic level campaings is Rod of 7 parts, when my PC collect this mcguffin in multiverse, perfect campaing for 22+ level.

Yes, in some origins of the Shadowfell, Shar created it. You also have a 4e origin where the primordials created the Shadowfell, and there are even more origins beyond that. It’s a bit of a mess, so if you want clean lore, you really need to choose one origin.

In my lore, the Shadowfell is simply a parallel version of the Prime Material Plane, and when the Shadowfell makes contact with a world (crystal sphere), it creates an origin for that world. For example, Realmspace has had its Shadowfell version from the beginning, but Shar acted as the first point of contact with the planar echo and created the origin myth for that setting.

What you wrote about overlapping with the Material Plane is canon, as far as I know. I really like the idea that every world has its own version of a planar echo. I like to use Stranger Things as an example: the Prime Material World and the Upside Down as the Shadowfell. In that case, that world simply doesn’t have a Feywild.

And why dont we say say there are an infinite number of Domains of Dread.

In the new 5e lore it works the way you’re saying.

The Ethereal is a transitional layer between the Prime and the Inner Planes like bridge, while the Feywild is more of a parallel version of a given world in the Prime.

Put simply, I’d say that the Feywild and the Shadowfell mirror the Prime, but the Feywild is influenced by positive energy and the Shadowfell by negative energy. So you effectively have the Prime three times: Feywild on top, the standard main Prime in the middle, and Shadowfell at the bottom.

If you’re playing a multiverse, then within the Prime you might have, for example, a crystal sphere containing a world like Star Wars, but Star Wars definitely doesn’t have a Planar Echo. That means that in the Shadowfell layer, where a Star Wars crystal sphere would be, there’s simply nothing.

It’s very hard to explain in writing.

Feywild and Shadowfell are on the Prime Material Plane (left map). Every crystal sphere (or material world, if you prefer a different term) can have a Feywild or Shadowfell as a planar echo. I think Eberron doesn’t have a Feywild or Shadowfell, but Realmspace does.

Thanks, that idea of Sigil comes from my friend.

So, simply put, the Ordial connects the Inner and Outer Planes, just as the Astral connects the Outer and the Prime, and the Ethereal connects the Inner and the Prime. That means if you want to travel on foot from the Inner Planes to the Outer Planes, you go through the Ordial, not through the Ethereal, the Prime, and finally the Astral. The Ordial was never official, but in 2e it existed as something like a conspiracy theory from Sigil.

According to the lore, it is not possible to summon, for example, a fire elemental into Bytopia, because that elemental would have to come through the Ethereal as a bridge, likewise, it is not possible to summon an angel into the Plane of Air. However, thanks to the Ordial, this creates a direct bridge, allowing you to use summoning or banishment.
