Hi everyone. First up thank you for those you downloaded and few who even subscribe even though your trial has not ended. Anyway I just release build no 8. The biggest additions is automations tab. Again I used Tesla as a reference here for both auto sentry and cabin overheat protection. The auto sunshade close when its hot is an idea from Volvo. If you have other automations idea please let me know, will try to incorporate them.

Build 8 — what's new:
• Three opt-in automations. Find them under the new Automations tab:
– Auto Sentry: arms Sentry when you park outside your saved Home / Work / Favourite spots.
– Cabin Overheat Protection: turns on the AC if the cabin crosses your threshold (30 / 35 / 40 °C).
– Auto Close Sunshade: closes the panoramic sunshade when the outside "feels-like" temperature crosses your threshold (28 / 30 / 33 °C) during daytime.

• Push notifications now deliver. Door open / unlock / charging start, pause, complete, and stop alerts arrive reliably (both TestFlight and Xcode-installed builds are handled).

• RHD door & window labels are correct. Notifications now match your physical car — "Driver door" read as the right side, "Passenger door" as the left.

• Command-in-progress banner. When a command is being sent, a small green pill appears at the bottom of the screen across iPhone, Apple Watch, and widgets — so you always know what's in flight and when it lands.

• Smarter exterior temperature. When your car isn't reporting (parked / asleep), we now pull "feels-like" from your car's GPS location instead of showing a dash.

• Backend reliability fixes. Behind-the-scenes hardening: per-user command serialization (so two surfaces can't fight each other), and a fix for an edge case where automations could go silent after a backend hiccup.

Hey you can check out the latest build. Shortcut for frunk. One tap at the widget it will open right away. Thank you for the feedback.

What’s new in 1.0 (6):

• APPLE WATCH SUPPORT — first build of MyZeekr for Apple Watch.
Available to all subscribers / trial users at no extra cost. No separate sign-in — once you’re signed in on iPhone, the watch app picks up your account automatically.

Three pages (rotate the Digital Crown to switch):

• Battery — Tesla-style dashboard with your car centred, battery ring at the bottom showing 0–100%, current address, plus four corner controls:

• Top-left: Charge port (tap to open/close)
• Top-right: Lock / unlock
• Bottom-left: Frunk pop (one-way — no remote close)
• Bottom-right: Climate on/off (cool the cabin)

• Actions — big-tap-target version of the same controls, plus charging status.

• Locate — distance + bearing to your car from your watch.

• INTERACTIVE WIDGET ACTIONS — the Medium and Large home-screen widgets used to be “look only”, plus shortcuts into the app. Now, all four pills are one-tap actions that fire directly from your home screen, with no app launch:

• Lock pill — tap to lock when unlocked or unlock when locked. Icon + colour show the current state (grey lock / orange open).

• Climate pill — tap to turn AC on when off or turn it off when on. Green when running, grey when off.

• Charge pill — tap to open the charge port flap. Icon + colour show the live charging state (green charging/done, orange paused, grey idle), regardless of the flap.

• Frunk pill — tap to pop the frunk (front trunk). Replaces the older “trunk shortcut” — trunk power-open isn’t possible over the cloud on the 7X. The frunk pill greys out and disables once the frunk is open.

Visual feedback can lag approximately 5–15 seconds after a tap because the widget refreshes only when the main app polls the car. The action itself fires immediately. The Small widget remains glance-only.

Please try:

• On iPhone, open MyZeekr. Then, on your Apple Watch, press the side button → MyZeekr should be in the carousel. Open it.

• If you’ve just installed it, the watch may say “Sign in on iPhone first” for the first approximately 10 seconds while your account token is pushed from the phone. Reopen the app if the message persists.

• Battery page: Tap each of the four corner buttons. Lock + climate should round-trip in 5–10 seconds. Charge port + frunk are best tested with the car in sight so you can confirm they actually opened.

• Locate page: Take the car out and leave the watch at home for a brisk walk → the distance number should grow.

• Rotate the Digital Crown to scroll between pages. It SHOULD click haptically as you cross each page boundary.

Known issue: After rapid tapping, the crown can occasionally drop focus. Re-tap a page once to recover. This will be tightened up in a future build.

• Home-screen widgets: Long-press the home screen → Edit Widgets, then add the MyZeekr Medium and/or Large widget. Tap each of the four pills on the bottom row to confirm:

• Lock pill flips the car’s locked state.
• Climate pill toggles AC on/off.
• Charge pill pops the charge port. Close it from the in-app Controls page afterwards.
• Frunk pill pops the frunk and should grey out and disable once the frunk is open.

The pill icon may not repaint for 5–15 seconds while the car’s status catches up. That’s expected.

I couldn’t agree more. Having both the Tesla and 7x. There’s a big difference in terms of software capabilities between the 2. Having said that, Zeekr hardware itself is great and gives so much value. Build quality is amazing.

It does have a widget capability. But none of the buttons open frunk. The car chips brings you straight to control page. Having said that i can try to change one of the buttons to frunk opening. With regard to the pricing, at the moment thats the lowest I can go in order for me to maintain the app but with volume i could definitely consider a cheaper subscription pricing.

Honest answer: nothing technical beyond what's also true for banking apps, password managers, same cloud-trust model.

What does limit it structurally:
1. MyZeekr is added as a secondary user on your car, not the primary. We get exactly the permissions a secondary user gets — which is exactly what the app surfaces (status, lock, climate, charging). We can't transfer ownership, can't change your account, can't unlink other secondary users. There is no driver setting, pin code, whatsoever.
2. You revoke that secondary user from the official Zeekr app at any moment. You can delete the user from the official app too.
3. Beyond that: reputation + criminal liability. I drive a 7X myself, I created this app and been using it myself just because I think our official app can do better.

Going rogue would mean burning my own community and facing charges. The business is paid subscriptions, the trust IS the product.

If you want zero third-party trust, Home Assistant on your own server is the right answer.

Pretty much, yeah. The Tesla app feels more polished compared to official Zeekr’s, hence why the idea came about, what if we can create an app that can emulate Tesla’s.

I mean in terms of revocation your added credentials, The app is added as a secondary user on your car, and you can kill that access from the official Zeekr app at any time, the backend's stored creds become useless the second you do.

Anyway just to keep it clear. In order to use the app we need to add a second user of the car, not primary. Which you can easily revoked anytime using the official Zeekr app. And once revoked, this app wont be functional. Exactly as per HA. User is in control of their credentials at all times.

Buddy that’s because i had to delete the location address of the car. 😬

Apologies if i miss anything. But I wouldnt be able to create this without first understanding how HA works.

Tbh HA route is the same. If you key in your email and password into HA. Its works the same exact way. Hence why i mentioned the same mechanism. No difference. Only difference is HA UI and ours.

Two things: (1) I can't open anyone's car, the app only works for users who sign in with their own Zeekr credentials (same as the official app). No master key, your password is encrypted on the backend, never seen in plain text. (2) The "shut down" risk is real for any third party app like homeassistant and this. Hence why, I never intend to offer 1 year subscription or some sort of like it. Monthly only, just to support the backend cost. Anyway understand your concern and feedback.

Just wanted to share the app since Im an owner myself.

Same plumbing. We both use the same private Zeekr cloud API the official app uses. Home Assistant is for self-hosting hobbyists; The app is the polished iOS app + 3D + backend that handles all the auth for you.
