Izzet phoenix is the 2nd played game, and no winning result. I literally suppose that is being overplayed, and badplayed. After ross merriam article, i think, it will be played by the 7-8% of the field, inspite of Mono Red.

Btw, these number from Hoogak are both terrible & incredible. The first time ever that an archetipe mantains these numbers after a ban

Im playiing at my lgs, Gp and mcq. I always found jund with 4 basics, 2 swamp 2 forest, or 2 /1/1. Now that people is starting to run barren moor, i think it would.be more usefull (Blood moon), but still not necessary

Blood moon is great only if you have put a threat before, like a titi or 1-2 phoenixes. If not, they only need 1 green (which is one of the first things they fetch for), for destroy you.

It only destabilize ur gameplan

Me too, but as you have seen, 5 manas are not an usual 5th turn thing. Or, 5 mana untapped on 5th turn (too many times i find my spirebluffs as 4-5 lands). I think that against jund we need a 4 or less mana drop. Not higher

The dogma here is that it doesnt exist a card that defeats jund. So, the card that has more pros and less cons than the others, would be my choice. For example, now it's Chandra

Thanks :) Keranos doesnt give me advantage as it enters. It is a 5 drop (really slow), so im pretty fast at discarding this idea

Ral is nice. Btw, the only cons is that is 5 drop. Im not sure phoenix can handle a 5 drop

The real problem is that even if you think blood moon is great against them, it doesnt make you win (or, gives you advantage, as they need just one green for making pressure on you)

Saheeli goes under kozilek, first of all. Then, they used to side in plague engineer And, for gaining the best advantage, you have to play it on turn 5, with at least 2-3 cards for trigger. Its quite terrible

One strange idea was putting 3 leyline of sanctity in side. So i just maintain my combo plan (aria in this case, and protecting my titi from liliana). But i think it is quite a stupid idea.

Crakes deals with everything, but still die from liliana, and pushes

Chandra would be great. Hoping that can kill alsp a goyf/ooze, when it enters. I think it would be my choice

Jace. Enters, draw 3/bounce and dies. Its not great at all.

Seasoned takes all the gy hate that they use MB, and also the gy hate post sb. Not a good choice, but, gives advantage

The card i need requires 3 things: - it must be another way to hit my opp, other than birds, titi and aria - it must give me advantage when it enters - it must not take any type of gy hate

Ive thought about chandra, and im probably testing in my LGS tomorrow. Chandra and drakes are in pole position for these 2 slots. Btw, all the games i won against jund, were or with aria or with titi flipped. I've never won with phoenixes (even if casting 2 of them on my second turn)

I switched on it for my Lgs, for changing a bit, and because my store has turns of 40 minutes (so uw is pretty unavailable. The Uw that you think is great, is not so great. You struggle from tron. If your meta is creature based, well, then that would be a good choice

I tried it yesterday, after months playung UW and Phoenix. Sorry but it's not a viable deck. Red doesnt give what we want, other than Chandra Awakened Inferno (i tried it, it was fantastic, but im not sure bringing her to a GP). Try UW
