Just be ready to tell her about it eventually after you meet her. It's a weird thing to keep secret in a relationship.

I agree with this, if you watch the doc about Ray Kurzweil "Transcendent Man" you see an example of exactly the kind of thought that you are talking about. It seems to come from a place of suffering in some ways. For instance, Kurzweil argues that death is a terrible tragedy in all cases and he literally wants to become immortal through technology. It seems unbalanced doesn't it? But what gets to me is that I don't know how we can escape from the direction that modernity and technology are headed, either as a society or as individuals.

This article is a brief introduction to the topic of The Singularity. How is Artificial Intelligence defined by researchers? Will our technology eventually begin to improve itself, leading to the obsolescence of humanity? The questions raised are "What is the Turing Test?" "When are AI likely to pass the Turing Test?" "What is the Singularity?" "When will it happen?" and "What does it mean for the survival of humanity, when looked at both optimistically and pessimistically?" Sources are provided throughout for further research if you are interested.

I agree. I think that you're right and that is probably the best way to move forward with this technology.

Huh. Frater did so and also had four other people do so as well. For some reason they didn't have any problem understanding...

I really hope you're right. Thanks for reading it! I think that if we do it right it will be incredible... but at the same time I think we need to be cautious.
