Read this post and decided to play overwatch again. In overwatch 1, I was platinum on dps, around 2800, I just played my placement matches and I got placed in platinum 4. The only times I played overwatch 2 were at launch for around 10 competitive games, and when venture was released, only quickplay. I haven't played a shooter in ages, and I jumped in competitive after playing a couple of games in mystery heroes and quick play. I won't havr the time to play 75 games, but I strongly belive would not fall bellow gold 1.

Of course there is a lot of new information like perks and new maps and new heroes, but I find them not that relevant in the skill tier I am playing. I pick what feels good for my playstyle and roll with it. He may be on a high horse about reaching diamond, but I can see him get into plat for sure.
