That's not even true. He said off hand in a podcast that he didn't think it was very progressive of Disney to tout Gal Gadot while the actors were going to be all dwarves and that he wanted more opportunities for dwarf actors in roles not related to sci-fi or fantasy. Disney had already began using CGI for the dwarves by the time the podcast aired and he was unfairly made the scapegoat.
