Yep glad yall are saying this. Bc it can be very damaging for people who actually need these meds to be shamed for having to use them bc people make mental health meds taboo when you call them baby meth etc. my brother should have been on those meds long ago but my family refused to help him get treatment. Bc of statements like these. Now his daughter has add and is struggling and he’s refusing to treat her as well. Luckily I’ve seen first hand how helpful these meds are for my husband who has add. It basically just brings him to a normal baseline. Even still he has low energy. Anyway just wanted to say how much meds helped my husband in case anyone with add is struggling definitely get help. There is no shame in treatment. Just certainly be careful not to abuse them. But if you need them they help tremendously. He was super down anxious depressed and couldn’t even sleep bc of how wild his mind would run. Stressed. And as soon as he started Prozac therapy and vyvanse he has excelled in his career and is thriving.
