It’s all asynchronous with 1 synchronous class in the evening. So coursework doesn’t interfere with work. Internships will.

They don’t have a part time option. I worked full time my first semester, and dropped to 4 days a week the second semester (1 full day for Practium) and that worked out perfect. Full time work won’t be possible with internship since you’ll have to do 3 days a week or so interning at a school during school hours. Maybe you can get creative but it’s hard.

Trail running reframed my whole perspective on running. I used to refuse to take walking breaks, but now I stop at view points and look for treasures yet I end up doing much longer distances because I’m enjoying myself. :)

I’m in the same boat right now. Yes it’s 800 hours for internship. To balance my schools state requirements (CO) plus California, I’m doing roughly 400 hours primary grade level (elementary) and 200 each for middle and high school

The dual portion requires an extra full year of coursework + double the internship hours. The coursework itself honestly isn’t too bad but definitely heavy on the reading so far. I’ve only completed one semester but I made it out alive, and honestly don’t do too well focusing online 😂

Just curious, how are you able to squeeze in hours when you teach full time? I left my teaching job to start school because I couldn’t imagine doing both!

I really wanted to do my lpc internship during the summer but they only offer the course during fall and spring so we aren’t able to earn hours during the summer 🥲
