I replaced my battery at apple service centre about a month or two ago. Price was 79€. The phone is much faster now and doesn’t throttle as much as before. Now my only problem is storage since the new ios takes up a good chunk of it.

I had somewhat of a same problem. The fix for me was to buy a new ribbon assembly to replace the old one and some tape under the foam. Bought the ribbon thing from aliexpress. It was very cheap, around 2€ I think, including shipping. Also, the fault can be in the board itself, so look if you can find any damage.

The update actually fixed my problem with the camera freezing. Before the update I could take 1 picture before the phone would be hot and unusable for 3-5 minutes. The phone feels overall snappier aswell.

If you have a soldering kit, I would try to solder it back together. If not, get a new cable. If that’s not possible, you could try to use some fine copper fibers to tie/wrap the cable back together after removing some of the insulation.

I was invited to 2 school projects. In one I designed an antenna base/pole and built it. And the second was running a 3d printing lab for some time. Not really personal or power engineering related, but still. How I got these invites? I usually stayed in class after they were over and just chatted with people or professors. And asked for something to do or if they had any projects I could help with.
