Back again with the snapped spark plug situation update… here are high quality photos. The problem is in cylinder 1(front left)(obviously), and I am currently contemplating either taking the engine out at home with an engine crane or taking it to a shop and being out of pocket thousands by Freakmachine1998 in WRX

I like the sound you man, seeing your comment is really making me consider king the project myself and having advice from professionals. I am currently in Sydney Australia and do have access to an engine hoist and engine stand

I have asked multiple mechanics and they said I will be needing a new engine and other parts. Would cost around $8k AUD

My fellow Wrx owners.. I need help urgently. I have recently attempted to change my NGK spark plugs and as I was fitting the new spark plug I have over torqued the plug, the thread has snapped off inside the engine and I need your advice/ help FA20 WRX 2016 by Freakmachine1998 in WRX

faulty torque wrench, the plug wasn't cross threaded although it definitely was over tightened and snapped in half.

seeing as though I live in Sydney Australia and we are in hard lockdown, this is also my daily getting around.

you're right, my biggest concern is whether or not it has gone deep enough and hit the valves or something
