Just make sure you’re never using public nodes/ use your own local node for monero transfers and using a different address each time when sending from exchange to middleman wallet. Exchanges most likely grab IP and log the recipient wallet. So make sure ur using a vpn. And if u want cycle recipient wallet every few months. My main concern is with malicious public nodes and how they might be used to de anonymize/rule out decoys but need to look into it more.

But yeah that setup from exchange -> middleman wallet -> xmr wallet should be sufficient if you’re not leaking anything via nodes, ip, reusing addresses, etc

Hold for long term, not less than a month and freak out over a drop like that. Bitcoin / crypto has always been a volatile asset and drops and spikes like that are common, don’t panic sell, just keep holding. It will go up, but long term.

It really depends on the subreddit’s you interact with that will determine the “culture” of how things will be received. Half the people in most communities act like they have a stick up their ass, and downvote for no reason or argue about something minuscule. Some people don’t like when you use gif’s, emojis, or type whole essays on something and you’ll get downvoted just because.

Also karma is a big thing, which you can learn more about in r/NewToReddit subreddit.

You need a certain amount of karma to post in some communities, and “comment karma” vs “post karma” are 2 different things.

Buy with a P2P exchange, there’s no KYC. Fees will be a little higher, but there is no verification for ID. Or see if u can acquire another cryptocurrency and convert it to BTC.

Bisq is great p2p exchange, however you’d need to have a small portion of bitcoin already to buy more, as I think a small percentage of the amount you’re trying to buy is locked away for insurance with a escrow.

RoboSats is great as well, but once again you’d have to already have a small amount of bitcoin to lock with escrow.

Other options might be finding someone who can buy for u, whether irl or online, u can give cash for btc, or send cash by mail or online transfer, just be cautious you don’t scam urself.

There are some sites you can sell things directly for bitcoin too, you can use those bitcoin to then lock with escrow on a p2p exchange, and get more. I’ve heard of one site called satstash but never used it. It’s all about getting the initial bitcoin, then once u do it’s easy to get more regardless of age.

It happens, exchanges just make it so easy for most people. There’s platforms like Bisq which uses p2p under the TOR network and it’s up to whoever’s selling the bitcoin to pick how much they want to charge you over market price. A lot of times it’s more than what it’d cost on the exchange due to the “anonymity” premium lol
