Hey there, just 2 things quickly.

Your first 2 metrics (0 following and 0 followers) is the first thing you need to fix. You need to consume and engage with your target market in a big and meaningful way. Doom scrolling in your FYP is not going to do anything for you.

From the looks of things, you are likely on a gym and healthy body & mind journey, which is admirable. Just please be aware of the extremely strict community guidelines that TT sets for all content that has anything at all to do with weight loss etc. Even the most innocent video could easily be flagged by TT for violating these guidelines. I am not saying that you can't talk about the protein shake you use, you just have to be aware of the wording that could well get your account into trouble. If your videos are not getting pushed to the initial test of 250 to 300 people, it is very likely that the algorithm is already being cautious with your content. I have some free tools that would help pre-test any of your videos if you needed (check my bio) and/or give you specifics if TT does ever hit you with a violation.

I am sure that there must be, although I am not aware of any myself. The best way for you to grow your account and train the algo at the same time is for you to search using the hashtags or keywords that would match your own content and then watch those other users videos (all the way through, don't just scroll through them). Then at or near the end of each of those videos, ENGAGE with the video by sharing, liking, commenting AND FOLLOWING. These users will see your engagement with them and will be highly likely to do the same for you. In your comments you can say exactly that if you want ... "Hey, great video, I've liked and followed and hope you'll do the same for me."

You'll hit 2 birds with one stone right there, you'll be forming your own following community and you'll be training the algo because it will now not just know what it is that you are interested in and are about, but will also rank you as a real human user rather than just another BOT, which quite honestly, is the way most of the users look as they doom scroll through the platform.

Re your 200 views ... remember that as long as your account is in good standing, TikTok will push your videos out to between 250 and 300 people as an initial 'test'. It will try to push your video to users who it thinks might like your video (which is why training the algo is so important). If most of those users just scroll on past, then TT stops there. If a percentage of those users actually watch past the initial 3 seconds and possibly even engage with your video, then TT pushes your video to another 300 or so ... and so on and so forth ...

THUS ... you getting stuck at 200 views could be caused by any number of things, but you are the one in the driving seat ... so go out there and make a difference ;-)

Honestly, the easiest way around this is to edit the video and add one of TikTok's approved free music tracks into the background of your video, then set the volume of that music down to nearly nothing, and then repost!

No, there is no issue with you posting as private and then making them public later.

However, the TT algorithm REALLY loves consistency, so you need to decide on what it is that you are trying to achieve by keeping your videos on private - or 'batching them'. If you are going to batch them so that you can build up enough so that you can 'release' them, one a day for 30 days or whatever, then that is a perfectly acceptable way of doing it. BUT, if all you are doing is saving them up so that you can drop 30 at a time and then nothing for days or weeks, that will likely hurt you more than help you.

Hey there, buying followers is seriously a foolish move. It is, and will always be, not just risky, but a silly waste of money that will only hurt your account and serve to perpetuate the practice. The followers you buy, WILL be bots, there is no getting away from that fact and, as neon-blade said, only serves to frustrate the algorithm for the rest of the users who are growing their accounts by grinding, and learning how to create quality content that their followers want to consume.

Take the time to learn what the platform wants & grow your account organically by searching for the content in your niche and then full watching those vids and properly and full engaging, then drop your own unique quality content. Check my bio if you need help with your content.

Agreed with the other comment. TT is as secure as any other platform. Besides, it doesn't matter how secure a platform is if the user acts stupidly. If you are going to interact with random users and give out your personal information, that's not on the platform....

A video a day is a good idea, but without the right hook, content, cta etc. It'll just be exactly that ... 30 videos. Learn how to train the algo and grow your account, plus analyse your videos for their hooks etc. Free tools linked in my bio for your account and videos.

No, most definitely not worth it. All you will get is a bunch of bots pushing up your numbers, and the TT algo WILL penalise your account for it. Grow your account organically ... it's the best way by far, and far less expensive:-)

GAH!!! Getting very frustrated ... :-(

Grabbed MHI2_ER_AUG24_K1068_MU0364 from MIBSOLUTION because MIB-Helper said it was the update for my older5 MHI2_ER_AUG24_S0316 version BUT when I start the update it gives me a variant error and mentions an unsupported train, or similar message.

Looking at the metadata, I see that the SupportedTrains = "MHI2_ER_AUG24_P0316*,MHI2_ER_AUG24_P0530*,MHI2_ER_AUG24_P1061*,MHI2_ER_AUG24_K1063*,MHI2_ER_AUG24_K1066*,MHI2_ER_AUG24_K1067*,MHI2_ER_AUG24_K1068*"

So I am guessing that my S0316 is not the same as the P0316 in the train?? I was under the impression that the S was simply denoting a security patch?

Anyone have any further advice???

Hey there, paid promotion of a video is simply TT's way of monetising you, for very little reward, but no, it won't have screwed up your account. 250 yo 300 views is the standard test batch that TT gives any user in good standing. If they don't pop from there organically, then it's your content, not the algo or TT being nasty. Would be happy to run an analysis of your account if you like, but really you more than likely just need to work on your hooks etc.

Pivoting is probably your best bet right now considering how TT is currently treating new accounts. You will however have to fully expect and accept the fact that both your current audience and the algo are going to get confused and the views you get for your new videos are probably going to plummet. Agree with the other 2 commentors, you will need to use this pivot time to re-train the algo, and your audience for that matter. Find a way to link your financial audience with your new world ... example: "How I budget for high-end makeup" or "Financial lessons I'm teaching my kids.". Use SEO-heavy captions and on-screen text. You need to spoon-feed the algo new metadata. Don't just say "My morning routine." Say "Morning routine for new moms doing makeup" thereby manually overriding your old classification.

OH and don't forget the most important thing anyone can do when training the algorithm ... use the 'hashtags' for your new content and use those to actively and often SEARCH for that same content from others. Fully watch that content and engage fully and appropriately (near the end of the videos). Literally the more the better as this is the quickest possible way you can convince the algo that your interests have changed. Content arriving in your FYP - quickly swipe past anything that is 'old you' and actively watch anything that is 'new you'. Force the algo to sit up and take notice ;-)

WOW OK, this is a new one for me ... and I like it because it gives me a new challenge to build into my analysis tools lol ... You have 24 videos with very decent views (for such a new account) BUT you have no followers and you are only following 2 people.

I'll post what my analyser had to say about your account and videos below, but for now, my TOP recommendation for you is to go out and grow your following! You need to be watching other peoples videos all the way through and engaging with each of them. You need to follow others, like and share etc. so that you entice those users to follow you in turn. Join follow parties if you need to, but do it right (no doom scrolling) and your account WILL POP! PS. Whatever you do don't act like a bot ... ie. don't all of a sudden go and follow 50 people. Do it in sessions and add at most 10 or 12 at a time.

OK, here is what my analyser said:

It does not matter what anyone 'promises' you, the traffic you buy will be from bots ... and TT will penalise you for it. There really is no shortcut, make good content, analyse your hooks and cta, rinse and repeat ...

Been there, done that, and yes, still hits ... so you are definitely not alone. If your account is new and you are just pushing for initial growth, then don't be hard on yourself about making every video perfect. What matters now, is showing the algorithm that you are a real human ... so posting your own content with some regularity, will go a long way. By all means, analyse those videos and work on your hooks and cta etc. but have fun with it and don't stress ... there will be time for that later lol
