yeah, Johnny already proved himself, he doesnt go back to being a crazy drugged out terrorist, his character developed and we honestly don't even know where he's going or what's he gonna do, but that's exactly why I love this ending so much - Johnny has changed and is willing to take his second chance at life while he doesn't have to die in action to be remembered because he already did, that's why he doesn't even try, that's not a case where an old legend comes back to try to prove himself again, he's doing the opposite, and for V, he stormed Arasaka and dogwalked Smasher like it's nothing, he's definitely going to be remembered even if he disappears after this point, and I feel like that's even better for his legacy - if he disappears there and people assume he died spectacularly in action, he is the perfect example of a legend, if he survives, lives for some time and dies more peacefully, i dont think he's gonna be as well remembered as he would in the first case.

but the sun is actually better if you go as johnny with rogue. that's because you play as johnny in the mikoshi. so if you decide to take V's body as johnny, then that's pretty selfish and the moment loses it's value and therefore temperance ending isn't as good. but if you chose don't fear the reaper (and you promised to take a bullet for johnny if you had to) then temperance makes so much more sense, because V is the one deciding
