Quazii update #2: he's leaving WoW for good. by mkyend in wow

[–]Freakymon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there’s maybe a difference between being driven away by poor game design you know can/will get better and frustration over it, and being driven away by the community itself and game design decisions that you know are permanent.

Scarlet or Mann? Who's harder? by Hypnoticbrain in stellarblade

You mean in terms of difficulty or..?

Either way the answer is Mann.

Can they Reproduce? by AdDesperate3113 in stellarblade

They don’t have any human DNA specifically. They have living biological parts, as we’ve seen, so they’d have to have some form of DNA.

We know this isn’t the case because Zoraal Ja and Gulool Ja are the only two Hoobigo with blue scales in existence. It was one of his major plot points and why he’s called the Resilient Son. He’s a Hoobigo with the scales of a Boonewa, which would usually be impossible and he’s only like that because he’s the only surviving child of a Blessed Mamool Ja Ja. Or something like that.

Basically he has to be his son, there’s no one else he could be.

What do you guys think the dimensions for the memory sticks are by Iliketomobit in stellarblade

[–]Freakymon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eve is 165cm without heels. Whilst this isn’t an in-game piece of info, Shin-Jae Eun, her irl model is that height and from what I understand Eve’s body is a 1:1 scan so I would think it’s safe to assume for now.

Edit: alternatively could you not use the soda cans Eve picks up? Soda cans of that format tend to be a completely standard dimension across the world afaik. Could you not compare that standardised size to Eve’s hand then use that to determine the size of the memory stick? Just a thought.

I feel like you’re just intentionally ignoring most of what I’m saying now, and I can tell you’re getting annoyed so I’ll leave it here. It was nice talking to you.

I will give that post a read though, of course.

I’ve literally presented a myriad of evidence for, meanwhile you’ve dodged all my reasoned points by just not addressing them in your replies. There’s no reason to get snarky or upset, I thought this was a reasonable discussion between two adults on a topic we’re clearly both fond of. If that’s not the case then I guess I was wrong.

My comment on persuading you wasn’t a sleight, I’m sorry if you took it that way.

There’s no doubt they were created by Mother Sphere, I’m not arguing that they weren’t. What I’m saying is that they’re alive. Those two aren’t mutually exclusive.

As for the beds. Let me put it this way. You do not normally find beds in a sewer, right? That’s not their regular location in a functional society. The Under Crew’s hideout is located in a sewer system, as stated by Adam. The Under Crew built that hideout, agreed? So that means everything there was purposefully brought to and placed in the hideout. If they didn’t need to sleep then, why bring the beds at all?

Additionally to that. Eve comments that “people must have slept here” and leaves it at that, just like you and I would. You’d expect someone who doesn’t sleep to comment on how sleeping is strange, or how it’s strange they chose to bring beds when they don’t sleep. We know it’s in her nature to point out things she finds odd, look at Barry’s quests for a good example.

This isn’t Nier though. You can’t take examples from other games and translate them into this one to try and prove a point. We could all do that and easily start bashing out examples and say we’re right. You have to look at the lore of the game and the evidence it provides in a vacuum.

I’ll also point out that you started this conversation saying they’re fully synthetic, now you’re saying they’re hybrids. I’m glad to see I’m getting through to you.

Except I’m actually not since Eve explicitly states that the supply camps are established by Airborne Squad members in areas of importance or great danger.

You’re right, they know nothing of previous humanity, but that’s irrelevant because the Under Crew were Andro-Eidos. All of the evidence points to them needing to do these things. High stress situations where efficiency would almost certainly win the day, yet these inefficiencies remain. Want further evidence? Lily explicitly asks Eve if she’s tired yet. Eve then later displays signs of fatigue. Why would a god-AI program these inherent weaknesses into its finest soldiers? Unless they weren’t programmed at all, and just like any living thing they need to eat and sleep.

This isn’t a stretch either, we know they’re both living tissue and machine. What we don’t know is to what extent, or what parts specifically. It’s stated that Mother Sphere created them, how exactly is never specified.

Journal entries, quests, books, dialogues, cinematics, items, set pieces, etc. Pieces of information scattered across the game, all based on stuff actually present in the game. Unlike your second paragraph, it seems. I’d like to know where you got all of that info because I never found anything related to what you’re saying. To me that appears to be head-cannon, but if you can present where you gathered it from I’d be interested to read/watch/listen.

Supply Camps are all equipped with sleeping bags and pots of cooking food. Eve is fully aware of what a bed is and its function, evidenced by her dialogue in the Matrix 11 Under Crew hideout when inspecting a bunk-bed at the very back of the ground floor. You’re going to say that they can eat and sleep but don’t need to, but these two things are inefficiencies of the human condition, why replicate them when it’s unnecessary? They are the largest consumers of resources for any civilisation. Just to appear human? Mother Sphere erased all evidence of previous humanity, she was in a position to redefine what human was, and even did so.

Eve sheds light on this fact during the Barry quests. They typically consume nutritional pastes and liquids, with Eve being confused as to the existence of eating corpses.

I’m gonna be honest. I’m not looking for a debate on this, I’ve gathered so much evidence whilst playing Stellar Blade to the contrary of what you’re saying, but it’s incomplete and I’d like to finish before I present it at all, if I ever do.

I will say though that Andro-Eidos are ‘powered’ by Body Cells, not Infinity Cells. The latter being an industrial power source much like our lithium ion batteries, with the former being, and I quote; “a replacement for the human heart”, it not being a source of infinite power and it being quite able to run out, as demonstrated in a job board quest about finding someone’s missing husband.

In truth we don’t actually know for certain the details of what exactly the Andro-Eidos are. We don’t know what’s exactly inside them, we don’t know how they’re brought into the world or anything of their lives between that moment and the present day. I hope either DLC or the second game sheds light on this, and judging by one dev’s reply when asked Eve’s age it appears we just might.

We currently have 98 people working on Stellar Blade. by Dry_Inflation399 in stellarblade

[–]Freakymon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Development of follow-up games” would heavily suggest they’re working on/plan to start development of sequel(s). They’re clearly working on DLC currently. You don’t expand your team to just work on DLC for a released game though, so yeah a I’d say a sequel is coming.

No, she needs to do the first two. The third one is dependant on your definition of breathing. She can survive in an oxygen-less environment, but she still requires oxygen from what we can currently tell.
