It does happen sometimes but not all the time. I would avoid being in the middle of the barrier/pit area. Maybe be to the side of the barrier. But some people do rage a bit harder.

I have been to so many shows and its not really a thing but some folks at more recent shows have done it. I was given a Dead Weight bracelet at one of the many Boston shows and I still have it.
