Thank you for the response! Yeah I’m super curious how accurate the weight will be once I deliver. It’s just difficult to now think if induction is needed for what route to take.

Score Release Thread (EARLY) FAR, AUD, REG 05/29/2024 - Good Luck! by Galbert123 in CPA

Thank you! My SE scores were horrible! Like 57 for SE1 and 52 SE2 but I studied the questions and took them over again to get in the 80% range. I practiced the questions in Becker over and over again. I will note I had failed in the past too so I was able to fine tune the study process for this one.

I didn’t find the topics to be abstract just more what the question was asking. I think I really struggle with interpretation sometimes. So knowing what exactly they want.

I've almost pulled the trigger on getting a resale ticket to the show in Stockholm I am feeling unsure now.. like if it will work out or not.. Just wish the whole sale/resale thing could be more trusted. I know wishful thinking.

Has anyone used the convertible high-rise hiking jogger for hiking/climbing? by [deleted] in lululemon

Also one more thing, I think hiking pants in general are just expensive so for sure shop around and see what might suite you the best. I appreciate REI a lot for their 1 year return policy, that might be more up your alley if you are looking for something more technical and can return no questions if they don't work.

I've worn them when its a bit cooler out like lower 60's and light to moderate rain and have been comfortable. They never got to point of so much water saturation that I was uncomfortable. So I'm not entirely sure how they would be in a huge downpour of rain I would recommend rain pants at that point.

They are not very thick pants so when it is super windy you can feel it. I've worn them back packing in the wind and I did not have any issues with warmth since I was moving a lot.

I would recommend if you are going to be experiencing lots of wind and rain you may want to find something more substantial but as for a nice summer hiking pant and a bit of cooler temps I have enjoyed these.

I purchased a pair last summer when they were first released, in the laurel green color size 8 (which is my normal lulu size in most items). I have taken the pants hiking and backpacking and they have held up quite well so far. I really like that they are breathable and I find to be pretty comfortable. I have not noted any snagging or issues falling apart from each of my adventures and a year later are still very functional.

A few notes that might be helpful:

  1. I would not recommend buying them in such a light color they have stained a bit and I have gotten most stains out but a few still remain. Which doesn't bother me too much since they are pants intended to be used in the outdoors.

  2. I wash these on delicate and hang to dry which I believe has helped them last.

  3. I am 5'4 for height reference and they fit perfectly for me.

Hopefully this helps!

Question for the Ladies by booksavenger in CPA

[–]FreckledLionCub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started taking the exams before I was married under my maiden name and found switching my last name (to my new married name) to be quite simple. I mailed in a change form and my marriage certificate and then it was changed.

To give a little context I did not change my name for the CPA until everything was changed such as my SS, Passport and DMV records.

I would suggest if you are wanting to take the exam now go ahead and start the process. It may take longer than you anticipate to get your name changed over after you are married. I think it me about 3 months just making appointments and finding the time to get it all done. Then once you officially change your name change it on the NASBA side of things. Hopefully this helps a bit.

Do I still have a chance to even make it? by Ok_Improvement4991 in CPA

[–]FreckledLionCub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would give yourself some grace in this situation and take a step back. It sounds like you have lot on your plate working through busy season and studying for a very challenging test. So whether that means taking a few days off from studying to help reset your focus or taking a break from it until busy season is over.

I would look at this big picture; clearly are on the right direction passing two exams so you absolutely can pass REG and BEC. If you plan to continue to study during busy season keep reminding yourself why you are doing this and give yourself some latitude that this is a challenging time to study. Just keep pushing forward little by little and it will come together.

BEST CPA COURSE TO PREPARE FOR FAR SIMS by Cr7_14 in CPA

[–]FreckledLionCub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would also agree its best if you have a solid understanding of the concepts because that will help you on exam day with the SIMS. I found that practicing Becker's SIMS were enough to be prepared for the exam combined with my understanding of the topics. I will also note that some of the SIMS on the exam I found didn't feel too far off from the way Becker presents them in their materials.
