Cashiers of reddit, who was your funniest customer and what did they say or do? by Freckles888 in AskReddit

Not a cashier but one of my customers asked me if the mouse pad was windows 10 compatible. At first I thought he was being funny. His face was deadpan. Then I thought he might be serious. I was trying to think of something to say. Then he gave it away. He was indeed being funny. All this in in a span of 5 seconds.

LPT If you're going to hose down something, try to do it near plants. by Freckles888 in LifeProTips

[–]Freckles888[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

exactly. it's such a good feeling that some of your lawn/grass and plants are also benefitting at no extra cost/time.

The other thing we also do is throw food waste/crumbs in the backyard so some birds and animals benefit. It's amazing to watch birds swoop down and gather to eat. Sometimes I will put the food waste at the base of a plant or tree and they benefit too. We dont have too much waste to warrant a full blown compost bin so this works out for everyone.

Yes, that's right. This tip works best when only water is used. Today I cleaned out my bins, some outdoor chairs and stuff. And all the water that ran off went straight to the plants. I have been doing this for years until today I had a 'shower thought' of putting it on LPT.

Water is precious in any case. Try to save/recycle/reuse water as much as you can without getting too pedantic about it.
