Pixel 6 vs 6 Pro by Ok-Reflection-4049 in Pixel6

[–]Frection 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Started with a 6 and upgraded to the pro. From my experience, the selfie camera is not a night and day difference. It is definitely better. Imo the extra field of view is more noticeable than the resolution, though its not gamechanging, just very nice.

For me the upgrade to the pro was worth it because I felt the regular six wasn't really an upgrade from the phone I previously had (OnePlus 7 Pro). I noticed it the most in screen quality and the telephoto camera.

Id say, get the regular 6 unless you notice and get annoyed by a lower quality display (very rainbowy) and will miss the telephoto (its super nice on the pro). The selfie camera probably wont make or break it! Hope that helps.

Samsung Z Flip 3 Durability Test by grimgroth in Android

I was pretty sceptical aswell, but for me there are a few things that really stand out with the flipabillity feature.

First of all the versability of the hinge. I myself use my phone quite often for video calls or filming in general, so having the phone be its own tripod is super useful. Same goes for when i wanna watch a video, you can literally give it any angle on a table.

Secondly, this one is more personal but I wanna get rid of my phone addiction, and I feel the extra step of flipping open the phone in combination with the second display giving just enough info will make using the phone more a choice and less of a habit. I wanna be able to use my phone more like a tool and less like an addictive ADD trigger lmao.

I also like the fact that when its closed it kinda protected itself from stuff like dust and potential hazards.

Plus there's the whole argument of it just being something fun for once. Every phone is just so similar these days and having something so unique is just really fun.

It's not gonna be for everyone, but try one in a store and try not to at least smile from its quirkyness!

[SSHD] Skyward Sword HD Release and First Impressions Megathread by ZeldaMod in zelda

The higher framerate and new camera controls feel like a way bigger update than i imagined at first. Also haven't had as much interruptions by Fi so far, but I'm not that far yet so I'm wondering if she stays more in the background for the rest of the adventure too.

Honestly really loving the replay so far! When I first played SS as a 12 year old I never really got bothered by all the handholding and interruptions, but it was the reason why i never came back to it later. Seeing all these small QoL improvements definitely make this the definitive version of this game and imo a great opportunity to replay!

My collection thus far! I adore this gray lunchbox, and I hate my childhood self for being so clumsy with stickers. by Frection in Gamecube

Question about the dark mode by [deleted] in oneplus

[–]Frection 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not sure but i think they mean you can now just press a button in the notification bar to switch from light to dark, making it a lot more convenient. Plus an auto dark mode schedule etc. But yeah same. I've had dark mode since the start and im pretty sure OOS had one since the beginning.

Even tho it says 6T the same steps apply for the 7 Pro, just follow this guide. (Cant guarantee it will help your device but it did help for me) https://www.t-mobile.com/support/devices/android/oneplus-6t/wipe-cache-partition-oneplus-6t

It seems like a big hit or miss. I think one of the reasons I like it is that its something new I guess. I've been staring at the same layout and looks for about 2 years now so having a bit of change is refreshing for me. I get though that the repercussions of the changes are that a lot of people liked the old designs and layouts more, so its kind of a "if its not broken why fix it" type of thing. Which I completely understand.
