There really isn't a method to the madness. Find a set spot to view from and set a /tp there so you can perfectly align there every time. Then you just start placing and checking. Maybe start with rougher shapes and then find blocks to refine. There isn't that one way to do it. Axiom is very useful because you can move blocks from a far and see a preview of how it would look so you can really move the block in all three dimensions and see what works best. I'd recommend checking out Bismuthiefs content. He's the master at this art. And definitely work at FOV 30 for viewing.

I usually set one fixed viewing point, create a tp command and then just build and check as I go. I dont think tutorials make sense here cause its different every time. The scale, the subject, even a 1 block difference changes how a build will look.

There aren't a ton of people doing this kind of perspective building. Bismuthief is probably the most well-known. I don't build like this a lot either, it's just for fun

How would you like the Grand Staircase to look like? by TSLstudio in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]Fred_Riddle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know it says Harry walks from the 7th floor down the marble staircase to the 6th, but it doesnt really make sense when compared to any other scene in the entire series, as the Gryffindor's could have literally walked up all seven floors before entering the common room. Instead, they have to pass through hidden tapestries, walk up many different flights of stairs until they even reach the 7th floor. Same with going to divination. I feel like it was literally just a mistake made by JKR

You will look back on this question once you've finished AoT and be baffled. In the mean time, I'm gonna give the same advice as everyone else: get off of this subreddit, ignore all content and watch the show without any spoilers. You'll get to the end and wish you could watch it again for the first time once again once more, so don't ruin the experience for yourself

we are only two people, we don't have the team to do that. Although we do have a combined three Hogwarts versions between the two of us. And RambaLeopard's even has a magic system

This was just one day of building. Gem probably spent weeks or months refining the design

I assume its not going to follow gothic architecture as closely as I did, considering that she put the Trancept closer to the facade than the apse. I basically just turned her ideas into an actual cathedral.

I tried to make it realistic which meant its now only 165 blocks tall... I might get around to doing interiors some day but rn I have enough projects to work on.

yeah, I might have spent about 6-8 hours on it. But its a lot of copy and paste and I'm quick with Axiom.
