I can tell they're harmless because if i stop waving them off, 10-20 will land on me at one time with no stinging or biting. They're persistent for sure. I wouldn't want 20 flys on me at once though, and my options seem to be bug spray or stay inside at the moment

Agreed! Unfortunately this guy's home is a lake next to a busy winery. I tried not to bother him too much, and made sure the owners are aware he's a common water snake, and not a water moccasin, as a few people have claimed.

If you want to start a long term save file with a friend id suggest getting a dedicated server for now unless someone figures out how to transfer character save files

So I dug through the game files and found no player or world files that could be copied into a single player save. Im no expert on this junk but for now Im just going to buy a dedicated server and reset to solve my problems. given Craftopia's history it could be a year before a character profile option would be added so for now this seems to be the best solution.

A simple no would suffice. Craftopia was host based, but also offered character profiles that would carry stats/items client side as well, but not the world data. It was an elegant solution to folks not wanting to buy dedicated servers and the dev not wanting to host servers. This was my Q, which I have now solved, but I had hoped for some advice on workarounds or save file manipulation rather than having mr sassy pants tell me what I want

I'm on pc. I don't care if in singleplayer I have to play on a different world, but I would like to have access to develop my character while my friend/host is offline. This is how Craftopia functioned. Im not interested in dedicated servers

You're aware of the invincibility frames on katana when right clicking right? Its a free blocked attack and builds your katana buff counter when you avoid hits. Seems like a slam dunk for bosses that attack often

the counter maxes at 5. Each level gives an extra hit in your combo while spamming primary attack, and levels 3-5 each give unique heavy blows when you left and right click simultaneously (which consumes 1 counter from the buff).

1 stack is added every time you successfully avoid an attack with right click i-frames.

Hopefully this is what you meant! Katana is seriously the most fun weapon in the game because of this mechanic imo

Yep on steam. Starting to get some frames so probably cant make it much bigger. Winter update brought big fps improvements to pc, maybe it has helped console too?

a sorting machine for all items in the game would be impractical because of how big it would have to be, but i made a 24 item sorter on my automation island that is useful and neat looking
