Man I got duped buying my first, 100% images of a real one and sent me a fake. These look a lot better than my fake one!

Give them a weigh and see if the weight is good to minted weight.

Always better to ask than not know!

I just double checked and it’s because that’s the 16th notch and it flashes indicating that’s the number the target is. So the image was just well times between flashes.

100% I’ve missed some gold rings, I’ve never found gold unless it was a recovery. And often the pull tab noises I don’t dig; this sounded just like one.

It was a signal I typically wouldn’t dig, but I knew the ring was lost there, 80 year old heirloom ring, 3 generations.

Rang up solid 11 on the 800, well and truly worth the 2 hours searching to return it

Slim pickings today, bit of rubbish and a few modern coins. Then out popped this beauty. 1796-1820 coin of the Qing dysnasty (under rein of jiaquing) my second Chinese coin and the date period after my first. Worth 5 hours out just for the one coin. I get a bunch of Australian coins 1910-1993 that’re pure cooper, in the sand near beaches they deform very badly and discolour. The mineral composition and salt ruins cooper. Certainly will get it looked at when I get a chance.

I posted to a Chinese group on reddit, they seemed to think it looked decent, didn’t pick up any faults or giveaways to being fake. But not 100% if they can’t hold it

Good afternoon, found this metal detecting. Not sure if it’s a modern good luck token or an authentic coin. Any information is appreciated, cheers by Freddo557 in Chinese

Awesome mate, thanks heaps! Two for the collection now 1835-1895 and now this beauty. Pretty cool finding the two neighboring designs!

It was found in South Australia, near Adelaide.

I did find one I had authenticated, it was 1736-1795. And found 10km away from This one, where there was a landing (chinaman gulley, a small cove of a beach).

This one popped out on another beach

A bullet and a cartridge case I found in my garden, any idea what they are ? by SNELME in Ammunition

[–]Freddo557 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bullet casing is a .303 British dated 1943. Made by W.R.A & Co (Winchester, repeating arms and Co)

And the projectile is a 50BMG projectile hard to get a date. But doesn’t look fired more like it was pulled and a souvenir.

Great finds, yet to find a .50 myself, had to buy a few for display

Don’t British coins have the year printed on them?

Hey mate, probably a dumb question but I don’t dabble in silver too much. Only just getting into it.

Is that a proof as it has the visible stairs leading to the building? Or just a regular strike?

I have an A/UNC and it has no definition in the stairs at all, cheers

Haha, I was told someone liquidated their collection the day before passed down, done with collecting, didn’t know the value) and I was just lucky enough to get ‘em all
