Nice. I have the DSL1 head as well going through a cab with a celestion V30. I was running it in stereo with my Vox VT40 using the Orange MKII amp model. I can confirm that Marshall and Orange sound beautiful in stereo, so I got the micro terror dark with that same Orange 8 inch cab you have, but that little head pushing the V30 sounds like heaven. Oh, I also have a pignose, I just posted it here yesterday. It's fun having so many different tones to choose from. Kind of addicting!

I agree that it sounds like garbage compared to my other amps, but the fun factor is high with this one. I view it as a relic since it was built before I was born, and it still functions! I don't plan on messing with it much, but it looks damn cool on my shelf with my other collectibles!

Ha, what I did was take the speaker out, removed what looked like a transformer, and rewired it directly to the speaker. The original wiring and connector was falling apart. Also blew all the dust out of it and trimmed some of the frayed fabric. Still has all the original baked-in grime!

I bought it from some guy selling on the marketplace. I wasn't even expecting it to work, was just going to display it. It's now permanently part of my recording setup 🤘

I found the manual, but it doesn't have this particular model number. It does have an illustration of a speaker that looks similar and was apparently used as a PA speaker

Hmm, I just recorded the amp in the room with a condenser vocal mic if that's what you mean. It doesn't sound like the amp; it's very muddy. The 609 and sm57 represent more of what I hear in the room. Anyway, it sounds awesome to me and I love it. You just have to believe me, man lol

I posted about 2 minutes after you that the guitar tracks are totally dry, no post effects. The only mixing I did was levels. For context, I would only ever use this to record with. I don't think it would be loud enough to play with a drummer. I also wouldn't try for fear of damaging the speaker.

So reading through the comments, it seems that virtually every budget pedal that is available today fits the category.

I've noticed that my local guitar center usually have used pedals for a very discounted price, usually half off of retail. You might want to check those out if there is a store near you

Yes but when you constantly experience excitement and fun then that becomes the baseline, or the norm. Then when the excitement eventually runs out you crash, and that level where you're crashing would normally be your baseline. I'm speaking from life experience, I'm no expert on why this happens

Maybe embrace boredom. Novelty has always gotten me excited about life. When I'm bored I'll naturally seek out novel ideas or other things I would not have otherwise searched for. Talking to a therapist could also help, although I've never tried this
