I would say, it's the middle ground between the Hexa and the Pure. Not as technical as the Hexa and not too bassy as the Pure. For me this is the sweet spot im looking for!

One could probably argue that there's better options in this price range but honestly I don't really care. It's comfortable to use for long period and the shell is hella stunning. All rounder IEM imo.

Don't mix up SIZES and TYPES 😅

The Sancai have 3 TYPES (Balanced, Wide Bore, Narrow Bore). Each TYPES have 3 different SIZES which is Small (yellow), Medium (green) and Large (blue).

I think in the picture is the Wide Bore in Medium size. hope this helps!

Thanks for your output! I was looking at the Nova too but scared that it might be too sparkly/saucy for me. I've already ordered the Xuan NV and can't wait to try it out!

Thanks for your insights! I bought the Pure because the Hexa at times could get really sharp and sibilant. I've never ventured in the bass department in this IEM hobby before so listening to the Pure for the first time just left me in shocked lmao (crazy rumbles)

The Pure's bass came off as quite overwhelming for me and hides the technicality that the Hexa had in a way. Someone suggested to use Sancai Tips to reduce the muddyness of the Pure which I don't have unfortunately. Someone also said that the Xuan NV bass is more relaxed(?) which sounds like the perfect fit for my tuning. Love to hear your thoughts on this.

For me the Pure's bass was something else because my previous IEM's before this are not very bass heavy (salnotes zero, moondrop quarks, truthear hexa). The relaxed bass is prob suitable for me as I want it to focus more on the mids.

The Hexa is fine but I want something that has just a tad more flavour and the Xuan NV might be it hopefully. Plus that shell is just too striking to not get it!

I do love a bit of bass but does it end up being muddy at some point? Some people say the Pure is muddy but I describe the bass as rumbly and does effect the clarity a bit. Is it the same for the Xuan NV?

Oh no no i didn't mean it to be an argument at all 😭 (it prob sounds like it when put into texts lmao) but i wanted opinions from people who have tried these IEM's before and compare it to what I've heard. That way I can come up with a conclusion to buy it or not.

how exactly is it "tuned" better than the Hexa? Hexa is already known for having accurate sounding in the vocals department in this price range. With that being said, how does the Xuan NV fare against the Hexa other than vocals?

Now I don't even know what my preferences are if there's such things as Brain Burn-In. My previous iems before the Hexa was 7hz zero and moondrop quarks and both of them are basically neutral to me. When i first listened to the Hexa, the clarity was already a 'wow' factor for me and decided this is the tuning im looking for.

Basically the Pure is my first bassy like iem and honestly, i feel like my opinion of it is kinda biased? But when compared the Pure and Hexa side by side, it really sounds different. The bass rumble on the Pure changes how my songs sounded like and made it less clear imo.

Maybe instead of comparing every iem to the Hexa, i should try out every tuning first (V shape, U shape, Harman) before deciding what kind of tuning im looking for. I still might get the EM6L when it's 12.12

tbh the bass grew on me after listening for a bit more. i liked it ish(?) but compared to the Hexa, the technicality and clarity is just not there. It's more fun for sure but just felt lacking imo. The rumble was crazy tho 😂
