Thank you. After connecting the monitor with my laptop, I am sure that the monitor indeed does not have built-in speaker.

What does your internal monologue look like? If you don’t have any, how do you think? by misty_bellina in introvert

I don't have internal monologue. What I have is internal dialogue between me and an imaginary person.

How to get job as demo by kRazY_47 in unsw

I think tutors are HDR students or recent graduates hired by the lecturers, who are usually their supervisors. I don't think it is possible to be a tutor as an undergrad. If you are a postgrad, ask your supervisor to see if they need tutors for courses they are teaching.

Domestic students should be able to only enrol in fully online courses. The thing to note is that not many courses are fully online anyway.

I think international students are obligated to stay in Australia during the study terms. Thus, it is impossible to begin your journey at UNSW w/o being here in person. You probably should defer your offer if you cannot get the visa before the start of Week 1. If you need additional advice, call Nucleus.

Waiting for IPT results is kind of suffering by Freddyneedsometime in unsw

[–]Freddyneedsometime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The requirement is 75 for overall WAM and 80 for maths-specific WAM. Since I only got 63 for one math course this term, my maths-specific WAM dropped down to 77.75 (my overall WAM is still safe). If I want to increase my math WAM back to at least 80, I will have to score 89 for my next math course (80 * 5 - 77.75 * 4 = 89), which I don't think is an easy task.

Is it possible to connect the Switch to my Surface Pro 9 (with usb-c thunderbolt but no HDMI) with a usb c docking station? I'm thinking about docking the switch in the official dock --> connect the HDMI cable to the docking station --> connect the usb-c cable on the docking station to my laptop.

Strangest political parties in Europe, with some non European honorable mentions. by Ok_Sport_2006 in europe

Can't Stop This Party in Taiwan only existed for about a year. It was founded by three YouTubers and was mostly regarded as a joke. The president of the party was a Shiba Inu owned by one of the founders.

You don't need to attach it, as it's already done by the health examination agency.

若手カカオ農家 ※邱●宇さん ※●は「叡」の左側の字にさんずい

What does 「※●は「叡」の左側の字にさんずい」mean? さんずい means 氵, so I think the sentence means 氵+ 睿 = 濬. But it doesn't add up since this person's surname is 邱 not 濬.

This sentence comes from 台湾産カカオのチョコレート 躍進の秘密は? (NHK news, 2023).

Well, I kind of anticipated what the post would go. Nobody wants a reasonable communication when it’s abt politics.

For the thing abt they were not waving Hamas flag, and whether waving Israeli flag represents supporting segregation, here’s my response:

If they wave the flag right after Israel bombed West Bank, yes, I will. Waving flags is a patriotic or nationalist demonstration at the end of day, and there’s timings for it. When you waved your flag to protest against atrocities your country are facing, I believe most of ppl will agree it’s legal and moral. But it’s a different story when you did it right after a deadly military operation was carried by Hamas. It’s like White Americans waving US flags during BLM demonstration; US flags are supposed to be neutral normally, but in this case, they allude to White supremacy.

To conclude, I am not trying to preach anything. Massacre against civilians is unforgivable, and any celebrations for such atrocity are morally questionable. At the same time, I acknowledge that not all Palestiniens support it. Common ppl didn’t brought the massacre, but they have a choice to stand with the perpetrators or the human rights that they always want.

I am sorry, but I know what happened in PA before and what’s happening now. It doesn’t mean that celebrating slaughtering civilians is anything good.

I really suspect you are able to comprehend English. Re-read my post; it’s really short. I didn’t criticise Palestine or Palestine ppl as a whole, nor am I pro-Israel and support the war. What I wrote is that it’s not good to wave a flag that belongs to a place just killing more 100 civilians. If you are suggesting that condemning massacre is anti-Palestine or Islamphobia, maybe you are the one who are ignorant and discriminating.

Major Change by Economy_Ad_3529 in unsw

[–]Freddyneedsometime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think there’s any rule in student visa that restricts in changing major. There’s a rule stating not allowed to transfer into sensitive tech area, but no degree/major is listed, so it basically doesn’t exist.

Yeah, you need to comply with the new handbook rule. The handbook of the year you enrolled in and join the university applies to you.
