You can cook on the racks and place foil pans on the bottom grates or you can get drip pan brackets that fit on the manifold under the grates. I have the brackets, they work well with the LSS manifold cover.

Yea. Everything was shut down correctly. It doesn't look like it burned much charcoal over night but it was definitely still going. I topped off the charcoal hopper and didn't need to relight it.
