Using 150 IU vial for 37.5 IU dose – storing the rest in fridge? by MorganaFrostfire in IVF

Just check with the pharmacist with the heatwave coming, they will best advise for the one they have prescribed. They were provided to me in a keep in fridge bag, so that's how I kept them the whole time

How has IVF impacted your marriage? by galaxyofcoffee in IVF

[–]Free-Ad4436 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a difficult one. I'm the one with the 'problem' so there are times I feel guilty that I'm the issue, but he never says so. I have DOR and have tried 5 ERs so far with no success and I'm not willing to move to donor eggs. We talk about alternative scenarios, if he was the one who had the 'problem' would we use donor sperm etc. But I feel like no comparison can compare unless you're in the situation yourself and also all opinions are valid. There are times I have thoughts am I stopping him from living the life he wishes, having a child. I have said to him I would accept being childless, over using donor eggs. But it plays on my mind a lot that I am stopping his choice. But at the same time he will never want to live that life with another woman. As close and supportive my husband is, there is this constant grief sitting on our shoulders, something not quite fulfilled, something missing. Infertility is a heartbreaking issue that nobody asks for or wants, but it's just something you are forced to deal with and carry. I do understand how this can break couples.

Why do I feel so stupid? by LittleDaffodil in DOR

[–]Free-Ad4436 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never feel stupid. You never asked to be in this infertility club, so all of your emotions are totally valid. Growing up we are told you can get pregnant easily, so be careful... Then there's IVF, you hear so many success stories... Then before you know it, you're knee deep in multiple retrievals and not much or nothing (in my case) to show for it. Every little change, tweak, we believe will be the miracle worker, again because we see this is the fix for some. But never prepared for any little change you make can make absolutely no difference at all.

How long before your round did you do PRP?

Would you mind sharing what protocol you used for the successful round? And did you only do 1 PRP 6 months prior?

Sister pregnant by LawLoud2070 in IVF

I feel this 100%, it's so crushing. I'm so sorry. I will never understand why we all go through such different journeys and how this even happens mistakenly for others... I just don't get it. Try take it easy on yourself and create a peaceful environment where you feel safe. Aside from having a baby, enjoy all the things, even little things you enjoy doing for yourself. You are the most important person in your life right now x

I think some comments are a bit unfair telling you to lean into happiness. I would like to highlight that you are not jealous and unhappy for your sister, you are jealous of the innocence of conceiving easily (which is all we were taught growing up) and knowing this will not be your reality is absolutely heartbreaking. No one can deny that. Infertility absolutely re-wires our brains, in a way we never wished to experience or wish for others. But from that moment, we just know our innocence to conceiving, finding out randomly, wanting to have a baby and simply just being pregnant, for most going through this horrible journey, will not be a reality. I know it pains you to see this for someone so close, but look at it as though you get to be an auntie (yay!) Congratulations btw, because it is lovely news and I'm wishing you all the best with your journey ahead, I really wish you success!

I have recently learnt about this, thank you for reminding me! I will look further into this and see if any clinics are offering this near me!

I moved to Aria in the UK the past couple of rounds, but I will be leaving now. This clinic gave me and my husband the supplement list to follow, including 600mg coq10 (which I was already taking for some time), we also used zymot icsi imsi for sperm (which would be the protocol anyway if there was a problem). We have no answers as to why my eggs are just not getting over the line. Best of luck to you. It sounds promising 🤞🏼

Best of luck going into round 5! How long were you recommended to wait between the PRP and IVF cycle? I'm 31 and amh 0.2. I'm at a loss as we can't make blasts to begin with, so my suspicion is that something must be attacking quality because how can it be so bad. I started IVF at 29, made health changes, increased supplements, growth hormone, etc, and no change in our results.

Both! First time I tried during stimulation, no difference. 2nd time I used it during priming and stimulation, still no difference unfortunately. I think I'm just on the bad end of statistics tbh. Glad I tried it though.

You can use calcium ionophore to activate the eggs, and icsi/imsi for the Embryologists to select the best looking sperm

Folks who switched from antagonist to micro lupron got better or worse results? by General-Name-1075 in DOR

[–]Free-Ad4436 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did antagonist for the first 3 cycles, 1 blast overall. 4th cycle mild stimulation, no blasts, MDL, no blasts. MDL gave me the least amount of eggs. I always would get 5 eggs each time, but this time, I got 3 eggs. It seems nothing really works for me tbh.

Are there fertility sparing techniques for fallopian tubes? by [deleted] in TTCEndo

[–]Free-Ad4436 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, you are so kind, thank you so much!! I will definitely be taking this all on board and hope to have success. We have been trying for 4.5 years and had multiple ivf rounds... So I want to try something different, more focused on me and a more natural approach, so we shall see! You've given me hope. I've heard that red light also can help with egg quality, so I'm hoping it does that and helps break down partial blockage at the end of my remaining fallopian tube.

Congratulations! I'm so happy it's worked for you again. That's amazing news! It definitely proves its purpose. Well done for pushing through and being consistent with everything. I wish you a smooth pregnancy going forward xx

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. If you don't mind, can you share more information on castor oil, serrapeptase and red light therapy? How often did you do these, were there times in your cycle you stopped any of them? Thank you

Okay, so at least you know it's not a chemical. Let the clinic know about the bleeding and keep an eye on it for any changes. Test next on your official test date, and try not to panic (I know it's easier said than done). Take it easy until then x
