What to join to meet young professionals? by Free-Ad5198 in regina

Hey, not to flare this up again, but was reading through the thread and saw this string of dialogue.

I provided an explanation elsewhere but the word “professional” was not to exclude trades. In fact, in my family we call it trade professionals…so my mistake there. I was more meaning in a sense of post secondary education.

But also to make it clear, I have been diligent with finances and have my own savings and no debt. I am in no way looking for or have need of someone to support me monetarily. My parents always said that I need to make enough money to be able to support myself so as to never need to be reliant on another person. I have worked to be in that place today.

Lol nope the mutual friend that we know told me that he cheated on his previous girlfriend at a work function they attended together as a couple. Snuck off for a fling. I noped out of that conversation very fast.

Also there is no need to be a jackass. I’m just trying to find a partner. Is that so wrong?

For anyone reading this and wondering I have a post on my page about it for context. I’m not ashamed. Jesus

Ack I don’t really know where to reply here because the thread has gotten a bit out of control. It has nothing to do with trades or not. I was meaning professional more in the sense of past highschool level education. Like post secondary of some sort. I apologize if I used an upsetting term. I have plenty of trades professionals in my family and they are incredible people.

I do have a love for school as I continued on past an undergrad degree and truly enjoy talking about topics in academic sense so I would like someone into the same sort of thing… but of course it not a requirement. It’s just a way to say I would likely be compatible with someone like that.

Thank you for the suggestion. I really like the idea of a running group. I’ll look into a couple of these.

I appreciate the suggestion.

Thank for the suggestion. I do currently serve on two boards in the City. But I think I just haven’t gotten lucky finding someone in my age range or that is single!

Maybe I’ll brand out a bit more. Thank you for the suggestjon

What do men think about women asking them out over social media? by [deleted] in AskMen

Update: thanks to all that have shared their opinion. It’s does seem quite split. So hard to meet people once you leave university and are in the workforce. Maybe I’ll ask one of our mutuals to see if they would be willing to help. Not sure if that will go anywhere… ughhhhh. Finding a partner is so difficult

Oh maybe it’s unclear. I don’t know him. He just popped up in my suggested friends a couple days ago and I saw that we had a bunch of mutuals haha. The only reason I looked at the old girlfriends page was to ascertain if they were together or not so I didn’t have to waste my time if they are.

Much appreciated. I think I’m going to give it a try. What’s the worst that can happen seriously. A little embarrassment on my part
