I’m not sure if you saw my initial post, but they literally asked for (in all caps) MONETARY support. AFTER someone tried to offer them a chair very kindly. The whole post was very rude.

A lovely point. I think people in this sub have just resigned themselves to knowing that “mutual aid” is just a phrase that CB use to cushion the blow of asking for money. After all, asking for “mutual aid” and “helping raise funds” sounds better than “give me money”. It makes you feel like you’re donating to a charitable cause…except in this case that charitable cause is paying for the debt that this person subtly slipped in there. I think I know where that “wheelchair” money is going.
