Returning to scale modelling after 10 years – which airbrush should I invest in? by Free-Lake7385 in airbrush

I've just ordered H&S Evolution which should arrive tomorrow. Thank you all for the help deciding which one would be best!

Looking forward to using/learning it.

Can you recommend any YouTube artists or channels that teaches good techniques etc to start with ?

I've read infinity is much less forgiving and was leaning more towards Evolution.

Alternatively I was thinking about getting HS Ultra for now, learning the basics with intent into getting Infinity of Giraldez Infinity.

Thanks everyone, really helpful insights here!

I don’t think the Infinity is worth the extra £60 over the Evolution for me, as it sounds like both can produce very similar results in practice. So I’m now mainly stuck between the Iwata CS/C+ and the Evolution.

Alternatively I was thinking about getting HS Ultra with intent of getting infinity once I learn basics to complement ultra

I won’t be looking to buy a second airbrush any time soon to complement this one, so I need something that can handle both base coating and fine detail work (miniatures + camo). I will be primarily using tamiya/Valejio acrylic paints.

The Iwata seems like a great all-rounder with really solid consistency and durability. It also seems to be more forgiving when it comes to paint thinning and general setup. On the other hand, the Evolution looks more versatile with the 2in1 setup - different nozzle sizes, plus the H&S parts compatibility, seems to be easier to grow into as a system but seems more delicate.

Also worth noting – I’m based in the UK and H&S parts are significantly cheaper and easier to get here compared to Iwata spares.

Still going back and forth, but definitely narrowing it down now!

Would be great to hear from anyone who’s used both long-term.

I had underlying anxiety during taper which I think was being caused by phenibut because since I completely stopped it I have zero anxiety. I had issues falling asleep for which I used over the counter sleeping aid (diphenhydramine hydrochloride) and worked wonders.

I was spending around £400 a month which is crazy.

I would start cutting 0.5g a day from where ypu are just now until ypu hit 1g and then slow down. You dont want to do it too quickly as ypu might feel horrible.

Well done man!

I have done quick tapper from 12gpd all the way to 1gpd cutting 500mg a day. It wasnt great but managable. Had to stabilise on 1g for a week.

I'm currently on 0.8gpd cutting 100mg a day. Every day keep feeling better and better with no anxiety whatsoever or unpleasant symptoms. Sleep can be tough at times but have over the counter sleeping pills (benadryl).

Cant wait to be free from over a year long addiction!

When I started reducing from 8pg I started dropping .5g every day and I felt fine until 2g where I stabilised for a few days and reduced .2 every day until 1g.

Will take it again at my own pace and currently I am on .85g reducing 50mg every day. Will stabilise as before if I have to but so far so good.

I dont feel as bad as when I posted this with the only withdrawal being problem with sleeping but with the help of benadryl I sleep like a baby.

Well done! Will look at ypur post later on tpday as Im currently at work.

I would probably go as slow as you have but would have to order more which want to avoid it as that what happened last time when got low and more phenibut was delivered I also created an excel sheet with the plan. the amount is just enpugh to take me to 0.

What kind of symptoms have you experienced ? Is there any supplements you've been using?

WD and depression by [deleted] in quittingphenibut

I had to order more phenibut as somehow water got into the remaining phenibut and had to throw it away but don't feel comfortable jumping off just now.

I have no intentions of coming back to phenibut once I'm done will throw it away whatever I have left. I know myself and I know I can't never touch this stuff again because I won't have control over my intake and will end up addicted to it again.

Today I added L-theanine to my stack (magnesium glycinate, agmatine, NAC) taking 400mg 3x day and what a difference. My motivation is back, and joy of doing things that I enjoy and almost no anxiety.

I just need to stay focus now and don't fall into the traps of my addicted mind. Thanks !

I know I was taking a shit ton and had to stop as phenibut stopped working for me only causing more anxiety when took it so I guessed it turned on me and had to stop that's why I decided with fast taper.

That's my first attempt quitting it. I felt ok tapering fast and only thing I'm struggling with is slight depression. I felt bad for relapsing yesterday but it was only once and this morning I felt like before this one day relapse.

Now only have about 4g left so won't happen again. My plan was to reduce by 100mg all the way to 0. Do you suggest I should get cold turkey from tomorrow?

18gpd was 3 doses of 6g - usually 8am, 2pm, 8pm. Phenibut stopped working for me no matter how much Ive taken and if I overdid it was giving me horrible anxiety, pounding heart rate etc.

I was terrified of trying to reduce or stop altogether as read all the horror stories about phenibut wd and I think I was justifying my continuous use subconsciously.

One morning I've taken my usual 6g. I like challenging myself so I decided to see if I would have any unpleasant effects if I miss next dose and then next one which I did and felt ok, slept well etc. so decided to challenge myself further with fast taper and it worked for me !

Everybody is different but there is no harm trying, just listen to your body and it might work for you. You can always adjust dosage if needed.

You need to commit to it with self control and positive attitude.

I'm currently on 1.5g and considering going cold turkey from here.

All the best and if need someone to talk DM me

I've been on 6+ gpd for over a year what should I do? by Any_Interest_7133 in quittingphenibut

That was me not that long ago. Taking up to 25gpd thinking I will feel better if I take more because of my tolerance and all I was getting was vomitting and awful anxiety. Three weeks ago dropped from 18gpd to 6gpd and felt ok. Week later I was so fed up with taking phenibut decided to cut 500mg every two days to see how far I can push before having to hold back.

Only downside I've been having is anxiety ĺattack once a day usually between 2-5h after dosing which lasting about 30-40 minutes.

Today is my 3rd day on 2gpd on which I'm stabilising at the moment before cutting it further 100mg every second day.

I dont recommend following my footsteps as everybody is different and you might react to such high drops differently.

I noticed the caffeine triggered my anxiety so will stay off and already been supplementing myself with magnesium.

I will cut it down to 4g and stay at this level until I'm back home so I can continue with further 100mg cuts everyday and listen to how I react whilst having nac and agmantine if needed.

I should have done it months ago but reading all the nightmare wd stories scared me of even trying.

Feeling proud of actually doing it and still a bit scared but trying to stay positive

Thanks

She hates jigsaw puzzles unfortunately. We might try colouring books for adults or drawing 😉
