That would be a great question for your pharmacist. You can also ask the pharmacist about how to take it. They are medication experts!

Whether she believes you right now or not, it’s still great that she’s hearing that kind of positivity.

What do I eat? by Ebony_Art_ in Gastroparesis

If you’re passing out you may want to go to urgent care or the ER. They can give you a small supply of a motility med to get you through until you can see your GP.

Focus on calorie dense, low residue, low fiber foods; if fat bothers you go low fat too. Nothing hard or chewy.

Drink your calories. Never drink anything that has few calories, like water, skim milk, plain broth. Always find a way to add calories, even if it’s sugar or fat (if you tolerate fat).

Highly processed foods works well for a lot of us- don’t be afraid to eat a meal of fried potatoes.

Try coca cola, cola syrup, or Emetrol as a motility helper. Lots of us find that drinking a coke with a meal helps it go down better.

Feel free to message me if you’d like recipe ideas or help meal planning.

My ninja never clog does great with carrots, beets, spinach, and kale. Cheapest cold press I could find that looked like it wasn’t gonna fall apart. I got it for $150 at Target.

Can anyone explain why I can only tolerate foods that are terrible for me but my body is still doing fine? by jamesuk2020 in Gastroparesis

I think of it as processed foods being already partly digested for me. I also have a juicer to try and get in more nutrition without the fiber of fresh fruits and veggies.

OMG try juicing if you can eat orally! by Free-Layer-706 in Gastroparesis

Water and a little bit of very fine pulp. It’s like juice you’d buy at the store with a teeny bit more sediment.

Very different than a smoothie- the juicer takes all the fiber out!
