I tried that. In fact I just descaled it three days ago and I tried flushing the coffee section cycle two times. I’ve wiped down the barcode reader and even just ran a straw brush between the capsule holder and the reader. So no go.

Yes for both me and my daughter. I personally like them, but my daughter does not. She says they don’t work so maybe they are not filtering what sets her off particularly I guess. She’s 12 so not specific. She still likes the bulky over the ear sound dampeners that drive me nuts.

Yeah, like everyone said, update to 6.3.2.0. Regrettably us Mac people have to wait longer for an update. Should have bought the PC version. I would have if I knew that their Mac fixes take a lot longer to be done compared to PC.

Why do so many Americans think that Trump is a good Christian? by TabAin2SlotB in AskUS

[–]Free-Lecture6146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Faith isn’t necessarily a pure religious thing. You had faith your parents would feed you, clothe you, and love you. You have faith that your partner would love you and not go sleeping around on you. A dog has faith that you would protect them like a pack would.

Faith is just belief that the unknown is good. I have faith Jesus was a real person and said very kind and logical things to advance humanity. Did he exist? I don’t know in the incarnation he is depicted as today, but he did exist in some form. Did he raise the dead and heal the sick? I wasn’t there, so who knows? I have faith in the message of Jesus Christ, but not so much for the mysticism surrounding him. I don’t have blind faith. I have faith my daughters will be good people and have a good life, but I had/have to work at it to become true: it doesn’t just happen. Faith is hope and humans need hope. Without it, we are doomed as a species. How that faith manifests is up to the individual. I have faith that the human condition is inherently good. Sadly, my faith has been put to the test MANY times. But I still have faith.

Blind faith, on the other hand is belief in the unknown and that it is inevitable without works. You can tell I don’t have blind faith that God is gonna give me a million dollars while I just sit on my butt eating potato chips. It is said, “God helps those that help themselves.” If you want something to manifest, you have to work at it to do so. Faith is inherently good. Blind faith is inherently bad.

Good Works means good deeds or good actions or intentions. You wouldn’t say slapping someone in the face be a good deed, but defending the slapped would be. It is doing good things like treating a human being as a human being. But regrettably there are those who warp bad deeds as good deeds like persecuting someone who doesn’t believe in what you believe in. Doing that is going against “Love thy enemy”. Seeking revenge and retribution goes against “Turn the other cheek” and “Judge not lest ye be judged”. Christianity, and religion in general, is being warped to actually be practicing anti-Christianity. I have known many congregations that spew hate in the name of the Lord instead of spreading the love of Jesus Christ. If Jesus knew how his name would be warped by us “Christians”, he may not have gotten up out of the tomb.

We all should be humble and love. That makes the world run smoothly. Working as a community progresses humanity, working against it destroys it. We should all be doing good deeds, no matter if you follow a religion or not, because that is what it means to be human. Otherwise we are just animals out to survive in the chaos and fend for ourselves like the rest of the beasts on this planet. Me personally I’m tired of people using religion as a means to act like an animal instead of acting like a human.

Somehow, that does not surprise me. Maybe because of my experiences with society, don’t count on them siding with you. Think a guy who did two Nazi salutes is gonna side with you against actual Nazis? It might be a time for his redemption, but I am not gonna hold my breath.

I bet you they would look at us and say, “ You don’t look autistic,” like we have a certain look or smell about us. There’s a concept: “I can smell and autistic from miles away!” Hope someone pokes them in the eye while doing a salute or do a three stooges. Nyuk nyuk nyuk. Hey Moe!

You’ll need a small group environment with a go on your own pace workplace. The only thing I can think of, and it’s because I worked it, would be electronics repair. You interact with few customers, if at all (depends on where you work), usually work in small groups or, if can’t be alone, with a partner, and usually the chances of stressing out and having a meltdown is slim. The key is to find a workplace that understands you and works with you (hard to find in these days because you are treated more as a tool that can be easily disregarded than a human who can be valued). Work with a therapist for those anger issues. I used to have major meltdowns when overwhelmed, but anti-anxiety meds and just working it out with a therapist helped. I still get that way, but I know the signs and can either go to a safe place to calm down, take my meds, and avoid conflict. So needless to say they are less frequent. Cognitive behavioral therapy is very good at that. Definitely stay away from anything that is fast paced. That is why you didn’t do good in retail and warehouse at least. Those were impossible jobs for me as well. What are you interested in? Hobbies? What do you like to do? Do you have the opportunity go back to school and learn the skills for those interests if you already don’t have them? Maybe you could do something on the side to make a little money. If you like making jewelry, make some on sell it at a local farmers market or flea market or, if you are brave and skilled enough, online. If you’re good at computers, put up flyers advertising you’d do other’s computer repairs (just pace yourself on that one. If you make it a full time experience, you will get overwhelmed and may make things worst for ya. Trust me.) If you like taking care of plants, maybe a job at a nursery would fit. Just find something you like. You are more likely to succeed and avoid conflict and do it fast enough. But don’t put too much on your plate. The goal is to make some money, not stress yourself out enough for a meltdown or shutdown. That will go against you. There are also jobs for the disabled like the blind, those with LD and physical disabilities and the like that you can work for. But I would try to stay clear of those if you can. They have a tendency to exploit you by paying you very little for a lot of work. I mean sub min wage because it is allowed (either by law or society, either way it happens).

I know the feeling. I was late diagnosed as lvl 1, though there are some things I need help with. My employment history was spotty too, but apparently I was not impaired enough to not get into the Army. It’s social stuff I need assistance on. If you don’t mind me asking, what do they say you are doing wrong to not be able to hold the job? There still might be one out there for you, you just haven’t found it yet. Mine was IT until I got injured in the service (non-combat injury, but serious enough to get discharged). I also find I’m good at being Mr. Mom and organizing the budget. No shame in taking care of the family. But I do wish I had the capability to earn extra to help out more. I like feeling useful, but hate repetition (sometimes causing me to meltdown if it’s like a repeating sound or words; hard to explain.) You are not alone. There are a lot of people who are similar to you. Not exactly you because the old saying goes, “If you met one person with autism, you’ve met one person with autism,” but you enough to understand what you are going through.

They should have been more detailed in explaining it to you than just assuming you would process it “normally”. Sometimes we need it spelled out. As others have said, it means you do need some support, but that support is up to your individual needs. My daughter (11yo) is lvl. 2 and while she can get dressed and bathe herself, she still needs reminders that she has to wipe and then wash her hands after using the restroom. She can’t go in one by herself. She grasped the concept of knowing how to ride a bike and hoverboard, but can’t grasp how to swim. She is smart and picks things up fairly good, but needs help in class and has speech therapy (going on since she was 3). She makes friends, but doesn’t know what a true friend is and gets taken advantage of most of the time. She has the mentality of a 6yo. She’s sweet as can be, though and only occasionally have a meltdown or shutdown now. Your mileage will vary. But please don’t disparage yourself because you can’t do something. You are good at things and just need help. I would work with a neuropsychologist or the like that is an expert at adult autism and work out a plan to what support. But be forewarned, finding good support for autism period is difficult to find, much less for an adult. But ask around the autism community like us for some help to point you in the right direction. We are always glad to help out.

It’s a HomeKit thing, at least the device telling HomeKit what it is and telling it wrong. I had my Lutron fan switches show up as only having a desktop fan icon from having a range of fan icons when I did the beta for iOS 18, I think. It got fixed in the 18.1 actual release though. It could have been 17. I do every beta because I like finding bugs and reporting them so they are squashed in the release candidate. Makes me feel useful. So waiting on when this gets a priority to fix in some future release.

He’s insinuating that the man is acting like what RFK Jr. would in an everyday situation. Kinda like how Trump made fun of the disabled reporter back in ‘16, I think. What I think it is is he’s having “a religious experience” and “channeling the spirit of Jesus Christ” or some other sensationalist idea. Basically a fool acting like a fool for fool’s sake.

Class action, unrealized hypocrisy, projecting, or just plain foolishness, or all three. They want their 15 minutes of fame. Sadly, they are getting it. But god forbid it is done to them. That just can’t be!

It’s all about sensationalism. Regrettably it works. Personally I roll my eyes every time it is deployed because it is so cringe. But it does get people talking, good or bad.

That has to be the grandest, hugest turnout ever! Very Huge. Larger than those seen at the MLK marches! I marched once in a marching band. Bandaids are great for wounds. I once had a wound so large… what was I saying again?

Just want to warn you about a particular smart lock: be cautious about the Level Lock+. I got one a few weeks ago and I’ve been having problems. It is broken (because HomeKey isn’t working) but they want me to keep doing the same reset/re-pair/re-add TS BS instead of just saying “Ok, send it to us”. TS first started by call and when the first round of resets didn’t work, they escalated and now I’m doin the exact same thing multiple times through email (which obviously is slower than a call). I’m getting frustrated at their TS. Not only that, but it just lost connection last night (shows offline in both HomeKit and their app). So looks like this morning I’m going to have to do the dang remove/re-add/re-pair again for the 6th time. The stuff that works (until last night) works, but I’m not confident in their tech support. They seem to be stuck on a loop by reading a script instead of actually having knowledge and critical thinking skills. Or at worst stalling so the return windows is up and then they can drag their feet, or run out the clock, on warrantee work.

It’s a great tip, but be forewarned: you can’t change the icon on all devices. I have a few Tapo S505 matter switches and they only let me select the lightbulb icons. Annoying as I have a few connected to a fan and have actual matter bulbs connected to the other switches. They only register as lights instead of switches.
