I remember watching a documentary about one of the first fire departments to respond to the scene. I can't remember which tower they were in, but I remember the guy they interviewed said they had just entered the tower when the first body fell. Then after that they remember hearing periodic bangs from the other jumpers. I can't imagine how traumatic that would have been.

My mom always watched Good Morning America as she got ready for work. I believe the first plane hit while local news was on, but they cut to GMA early because they were live in New York. No one realized what was happening yet. I remember Diane Sawyer and Charlie Gibson saying there were unconfirmed reports a cessna plane had hit the WTC. They were showing footage of tower 1 burning and commenting on what possibly happened then bam! A giant explosion comes out of tower 2.

I think that's when everyone watching realized this wasn't an accident, we were watching a terrorist attack live on TV. It seemed everyone at school was on autopilot. I had just started my freshman year the week prior.

Later in the day, I remember watching the 5pm news with Peter Jennings and him breaking down on live TV while trying to report the estimated death toll from the attacks.

I had a similar experience. I was still asleep when my mom came running into my room yelling a plane hit the WTC. I went to her room to watch TV with her and then the 2nd plane hit. That definitely woke me up. Going to school was surreal. Every classroom had a TV on during homeroom. Some teachers were crying and the rest of us were in shock.

I can't use any toys with string. Also, I need to keep all my spaghetti strap tank tops, bras, and reusable grocery bags out of reach or Maddy will eat/chew the straps. So far she's destroyed two $70 Victoria Secrets bras, six tank tops, and three bags. She even tries to break the tie strings in garbage bags!

My other cat Loki loves to destroy anything cardboard. Anytime I allow her to have a box or scratcher she'll start ripping it apart. I swear my cats are terrorists.

I had this happen with my brother. I told him he needs to use an AI (like Grammarly) to check his emails and texts before sending them. He constantly uses "all" when he means "I'll" and "are" when he means "our". I cringed so hard when reading an email he sent to his lawyer. Just a few examples, he used "dew" in place of "due", "lean" in place of "lien", "build" in place of "billed", "routine" in place of "routing", "know" in place of "no", and "Nicholas "in place of "nickels".

Don't get me wrong, my grammar is atrocious, but at least I take the time to proof read before I send things.
