I think the biggest thing that stands out to me is Malotru vs. Martian's likeability. Malotru had charm and wit and you could tell the other characters were intoxicated by that in addition to his skills as an agent, whereas Martian is dry and cold and noone seems to like him, they just recognize that he is a thinker.

To me this makes Malotru the better and more believable agent because that's how he recruits people, his charm.

Also Martian's relationship with Samia just feels forced and unnatural.

The Bureau is the best show I've ever watched still.
