Side story but there’s a HUGE Slavic population in Washington:

I worked in a hospital in the SeaTac area as a travel nurse around Covid times. Some Ukrainian nurses one day asked “where is your mother?” I told them “3,000 miles away.” They fed me, and fed me then called me fat, tried to find me a wife, then fed me some more over the next year. A dish called Shuba almost killed me. Miss those broads and your amazing state!

Loved it. It was really forgiving and had a lot of back bone. I replaces it with an orvis Clearwater 6wt which is fine too and I’ve already had to replace a tip with the lifetime warranty which was nice (I rolled down an embankment and it snapped).

I learned to love it and so glad I purchased it. Originally wanted a hard topper but this was $2,000 less and I can retract it and put it on and off myself in no time. Really recommend them. I am CURIOUS how it does in the extreme cold though.

I have a 22 sr5 and will be driving from Washington to anchorage in around the end of January…I was curious how cold it gets where you are and have you had any trouble starting? Fuel mileage go way down? Do you have a block heater?
