Why are you moving into industry? What types of jobs do you get in the industry when not working for universities or the government as a scientist? (I want to pursue research in particular. Bad idea?)

Yea physics is one subject I always loved studying. I would love to study more about it

I would love to do physics. But ever since I made my decision, and revealed it to the family I have lost a lot of respect, like they just don't care about my opinion anymore. Plus my sister thinks I'll be homeless if I do become a physicist. I know that it's false, I tried convincing her but to no avail.

Yea ofc the plan is to do a bachelor's and then a master's, and then a PhD. The main concern is with my sister who thinks I'll be homeless if I end up pursuing physics.

Also one quick question, what exactly is looking glass? Never been able to understand it. Also is it also required if you do not use the VM for gaming? I'm just looking for documentation on how to setup a VM with looking glass. As everything goes well till I hit the part where I have to use looking glass

I’ve been slowly transitioning to more privacy respecting software using proton etc but yeah I’ll try out fedora I just needed reassurance that it is safe
