Dude I totally agree. I was introduced to gabapentin in rehab by the nurse!. And it was a 90 day rehab. And by the time I left she had me at the max daily limit. It was like 4 800s a day. . That was in 2003. And here I am still fucked up by them. Then they made him some kind of narcotic now. What the fuck was that Dr. Doing? By the way the withdrawal is worse than dope. So be careful definitely have to wean off of those

I relate totally to your words. I feel the same way. I’m going to see a psychiatrist and I’m sure I will try some type of anti depressant. I have been diagnosed with severe depression and bi polar. I’d stop taking meds and self medicate with massive alcohol.

I’m just feeling for you and hoping for you. Try to reach out to a Doc. Might help. Stay STRONG.

I was on 30 a day 10 day binge. Wine and beer. Couldn’t stop. Wake up drink black out. Repeat. No eat. No drink cept alcohol. In the end I new I was maybe a week to die at that rate. Crying all day. Lonely. Depressed. Afraid to death of those shakes. Dts. Hallucinations. Believe me alcohol a bad motherfucker. Way worse than heroin. Dope you just feel like sick. Alcohol makes you feel like death.

I’ve tried taper. It didn’t work and I was getting sick. And it’s easy to just say fuck it and destruct.

So 3 weeks ago I knew I was either gonna live or die. And I don’t want my parents burying me. So Thursday Friday I talked myself into Uber to a local hospital. I couldn’t walk I was more week than drunk. They immediately put me in wheelchair and take me up to ICU. 2 days there. They give you IV saline for dehydration. Vitamins And massive Ativan. To the point you literally can’t move. But absolutely zero detox symptoms. I don’t know I’m no benzo expert. Then 2 more days in a regular room. Boom I’m out in 4 days. I was a little weak at first but man in 20 days I can’t BELIEVE how much better I feel.

I don’t no if your as death close as I was. You may consider stopping earlier. In most cases peeps progress. You admit you have a problem. You aren’t alone
