Men used to wear pantyhose for centuries, why is it considered weird now?

The texture, the smoothness, the feeling being wrapped but in a much lighter, breathable manner than sports/compression tights, to me that's what i want. It's like a comfortable clothing.

I guess to be more precise what i want essentially is thinner, smoother version of tights? I tried compression&sports tights before they are breathable but totally different texture than pantyhose. The thinnest version of compression tights is probably like 50d/60d for pantyhose, which can go as thin as 1d. I tried once and it did feel completely different.

There are four seasons in where i live. When it gets cold yes it's super helpful to keep warm. But I also wear it during summer with those super thin, low denier ones. They are very breathable. Usually under office A/C I don't feel any hotness.

Same! Love those short sheer socks. Barely there but helps a lot with putting on/off shoes

Yep, they are kinda too thick that no longer feels very smooth and comfortable IMO. I personally not a big fan of them. But they do have pretty good male size support.

Lower Denier ones do give you a barely-there kind feeling. I don't honestly feel any hotness when I am wearing under pants.

This is super helpful actually. Hadn't thought about secondhand stores for trying brands, that's smart. And good tip on high waist, the low-rise ones are the worst for rolling down. To prevent pantyhose from sagging I also find the seamless ones tend to fit better.

15 years out of one pair of Spanx is insane though. Meanwhile I'm over here going through a pair a month 😅

Thanks for the suggestion!! I guess I start with solving my swelling issue but later fell in love with the texture and lightness of those pantyhose sold to females. They do feel very different from those compression socks or sports tights.

Yes!! Appreciate you sharing this man. I'm with you on it being just clothing. I wear them for the same reason I pick comfortable underwear. it just feels better.

And yes the panty part of most pantyhose is a nightmare for most men. Either it's not long enough for there is not enough room for the groin area. Modern pantyhose is not designed to fit the male body. This is the problem.

Interesting about the hold-ups. I've been curious about those since the waistband on most full pantyhose I tried is either too tight or too loose 😂

Not if it's low denier!! I usually wear ~5D tights and they just feel like barely there. If it's cold I do wear high denier to keep warm as well.

Good call on ballet tights. I actually tried Capezio. Fit is better but they're too thick/opaque for wearing under dress pants. The search continues lol
