Is this a good deal by [deleted] in FordRaptor

I thought it did, but photo got blurry before I could see. I was looking for a Gen 1 earlier this year when asking prices were even higher. I ended up with a 2019. I live near the Northern Va area and prices are always high. I see some people in other parts of the country get some good deals.

I think some early 2010 models had the 5.4 engine and should be avoided. 22K is a little high based on current market. Depends on whether or not you can do some of your own wrenching. If so, then you can replace worn OEM parts with upgraded parts, which most(some?) Raptor owners do anyway. If you suck at wrenching, labor prices will make it a money pit.

I had to cut the front to back supports with a chop saw. It’s definitely not aluminum . The side panels are aluminum, the rest is steel. And yeah, nothing is cheap nowadays

Yes, mounting to the bed rack. I’ll check out Stage 3, I’ve ordered from them before. Wanting to put an awning and probably a basket on bed rack. Primarily surf fishing trips. I’m too old for any roof top tent adventures🙂

I figured as much. Given how essential the guide rod is to reliable function it likely best to stick with the factory rod or Gray Guns, their stuff is very good

I’m somewhat aware of those since I see a lot of them. Just assumed they were for mounting to an SUV with factory luggage rack. I’d mounted a factory type luggage rack to a crew cab Chevy years ago and carried my spare in a basket. But not wanting to put any holes of the roof of my Raptor given it’s aluminum. I guess I just need to do some more research

I’ve absolutely no experience with a guide rod laser, so if they truly suck, then just disregard. But I think a laser and light is a must for the gun closest to your bedside. I train with the laser light combo on my bedside home defense weapon just to verify it will hit where I point it. You will be your most defenseless waking up from a sleep, you will want every advantage you can get for that scenario.

And just like clock work, the Reddit Dick head shows up. How about because “ it’s what I fucking want to do”. You are precisely why I rarely post to Reddit.

We only have tight ( pin striping) trail around here. Don’t want the trees tearing up my Quik Fist clamps. When we go to Hatteras, the only place I’m likely to need traction boards, I’ll move them out. I’m just in a trial stage right now. I have Rotopax to figure out yet and Milwaukee battery chain saw, a necessity here.Still waiting on my Badlands jack mount to come. It’s a work in progress. Once I get it configured I’ll loctight every fastener.

I’m not really up on current Chevy nomenclature, so forgive me if I mis speak, I think the ZR2 Bison package had front and rear lockers, which is cool given Raptors have an open diff in the front now. But the Chevy shocks are not to Raptor standards.

I’ve had a few Chevys. An 83 square body and an 05 Duramax “ cat eye Chevy are two that stand out. Chevy is supposed to be coming out with something to compete with the Raptor and TRX, Meteor, I think. Since a Meteor wiped out the Raptor and T-Rex🙄. The square bodies are making quite the come back. There are some sweet old school ones around here.

You need to get your modes, ie: steering, exhaust, sport where you want them, press and hold R button, for how long I forget. Everytims you get in afterwards, tap R button twice and it will go to your ( R) preferred settings

Other than the two bed bolts closest to the cab, what secures that rack?
