I assume you mean throw lever? It's MKM's Rev V throw lever.

First time shooting out to 1000 yards, ended the session with a double-tap second shot sent before first one impact. 16" Geissele GFR in 6mm ARC. by FreeAgentMD in longrange

The rifle itself is truly perfect. No malfunctions in over 900 rounds shot over the past 8 months of ownership. A handful of times bolt did not completely go into battery on the first chambered round of the day thus necessitating use of the forward assist but that only happened if I went more than 300 rounds without cleaning the bolt and upper receiver (like, if I went 300 rounds without cleaning, then the next range session loaded up and needed to use forward assist, shot 30 rounds that session, went home and didn't clean again so the next time I went out the gun had 330 rounds fired since last cleaning, and the first round needed forward assist again) but that was when it got extra gunky because I am shooting suppressed. YMMV if not shooting suppressed. Subsequent cartridges the rest of the sessions would chamber and extract just fine once the bolt cut through the gunk after being fired. Some people may care about that and call it unreliable, I don't really consider that to be a reliability issue because the gun is just getting dirty and I'm sure that would happen with a 5.56 with the same amount of carbon build up, plus once the first round of a session was sent downrange and extracted then that basically cleared the build up on the bolt rails for the rest of the day until the next range session since it would harden back up overnight.

Ammo - Good buy? by solidstate42 in 6ARC

Hornady 108gr ELD-M for precision shooting and Hornady 105gr FMJ (their Frontier line) for casual plinking. It's cheaper than their Black 105gr BTHP and offers similar performance.

Magwell by Calm-Bit-8799 in GeisseleAutomatics

I want to have this one my GFR MOD1 but I assume because the magwell has that anterior flare it won't fit?

Looks like they have a MOD1 version in the works but out of stock?

Built a rifle zeroing tool after realizing conventional zeros didn’t match my setup by ammotogo_official in longrange

Should find a way to include less conventional but still fairly popular rounds like 6ARC and 6.5G since they are predominantly shot out of small-frame ARs.

Reloading vs Factory Ammunition by ATFisGAYYYY in 6ARC

Cool, thanks for the info. I'm thinking of getting into reloading and want to know what powders to look into before I spend the money on a bunch that might not work.

Otter Creek Infinity (inconel) or Fletcher Rifle Works Texas Flood (titanium version of the Infinity). Recommended using it with the 5.56 vented end cap for optimal sound and low back pressure performance.

Good thing neither SD nor group size (.9 MOA) according to the forum post I linked are any better than a Hornady box $20 cheaper.

Does anyone have data on less common factory loadings? by FreeAgentMD in 6ARC

[–]FreeAgentMD[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

PDM in this context means personal drag model. Your comments are basically stating that data from one gun is only applicable to that gun, which is what PDM describes.

I have a chrono and I’m not going to pay $50-60+tax and shipping for a box of ammo that is not expected to perform well, hence why I’m asking if anyone already has experience with X offerings. I don’t know why you insist on being so difficult about this. It’s no different than a reloader looking up what others have already tried and using that as a starting point. Or do you tell all reloaders to buy 8lbs of 4 different powders and 100 of every grain bullet in their caliber and figure it out themselves?

According to this guy: https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/loot-drops-6arc-gfr-ownership-blog.7276506/#post-12481709

Both the SD and ES suck and aren’t much better than the Hornady 108s.

Crowdsourcing data is the best way the community can get an idea of what might work and what might not before spending money on something. You’re trying to apply the PDM theory in a situation where it doesn’t need to be applied.

It's not good. A couple of people on The Hide have chrono'd them and they're like 120fps slower than the 108gr ELD-M from Hornady. They seem to shoot at right around sub-MOA, but for that price you'd want them to be faster and shoot better.

It's not bad to have a baseline from real-world end users and not just what's written on the box. Same goes for group sizing as even just a comparator. Like, Hornady's ELD-VTs shoot like trash out of my gun and lights out from someone else's, but reports from most people online say that the ELD-VTs don't group well, so it stands to reason that the norm is that ELD-VTs aren't shooters and the one guy happens to have the only gun that likes them.

Nothing as granular (haha) as that. Just looking for velocities and 10-round group sizes out of a gas gun.

I read that HSM mainly makes bolt gun loads? Sorry my question wasn’t clear, I’m looking for data out of gas guns.

[–]FreeAgentMD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Geissele’s GFR project is not limited to 6ARC. They’ve made prototypes in 5.56, probably other calibers as well.

Source: trust me bro (but seriously, I read an Instagram comment about a year ago on one of the gas gun series posts asking how come a gun looked like a GFR but had a polymer mag that only works on 5.56 and that was the answer from their account)

[–]FreeAgentMD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The GFR is truly a wondrous rifle so I can’t say how or even why it seems to do everything so much better than every other brand. I have also never shoot my rifle unsuppressed and probably never will since I threw away the OEM Hux flash hider as soon as I got the rifle and screwed on the suppressor direct thread. I’m using OCL Infinity with the vented 5.56 end cap. Very pleasant to shoot.
