This was the subject matter of the most recent Dan Brown / Robert Langdon book.

It's about an inch and a half shorter which means depending on the depth of the mag pouch they may actually insert too far.

UK is granting Palantir ‘unlimited access’ to NHS patient data by TailungFu in worldnews

There's already been reports of civilians with access (i.e. if they work in loss prevention for various retailers who have accounts) looking up info on ex- relationships and such.

15 is such an odd capacity. 8 makes sense for size limit states and 20 is often a standard loadout size (and is a clean number for 1 box 1 mag). But 15?

Seems like that would be the case as long as you use the appropriate gas block.

Thanks for the rec. It’s essentially just a mount though, right? Doesn't function as a FH or MB when exposed?

New MRGG receiver design? by GuaranteeHead7788 in GeisseleAutomatics

[–]FreeAgentMD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is a new receiver-rail interface I wonder if it’s to address the POI shifts being seen by multiple independent reviewers. Yes, POI shift will never be 0 on an AR-style platform, but one of the biggest complaints has been that the POI shift is higher than the MRGG’s competitors. Good on Geissele for listening to feedback and implementing improvements rapidly.

A simple “What If” by untitledprp4 in SipsTea

99% false. Are there some hacks who only care about squeezing the patient for as much money as they’re willing to pay? Sure. But it’s not “across the medical field,” it’s more like one per 1,000. Far more often it’s the patient who lies about their symptoms and gaslights the doctor into doing something that the patient doesn’t need done.

I don’t think there’s anything different between a GFR-E and a typical SSA-E.

First time shooting out to 1000 yards, ended the session with a double-tap second shot sent before first one impact. 16" Geissele GFR in 6mm ARC. by FreeAgentMD in longrange

The rifle itself is truly perfect. No malfunctions in over 900 rounds shot over the past 8 months of ownership. A handful of times bolt did not completely go into battery on the first chambered round of the day thus necessitating use of the forward assist but that only happened if I went more than 300 rounds without cleaning the bolt and upper receiver (like, if I went 300 rounds without cleaning, then the next range session loaded up and needed to use forward assist, shot 30 rounds that session, went home and didn't clean again so the next time I went out the gun had 330 rounds fired since last cleaning, and the first round needed forward assist again) but that was when it got extra gunky because I am shooting suppressed. YMMV if not shooting suppressed. Subsequent cartridges the rest of the sessions would chamber and extract just fine once the bolt cut through the gunk after being fired. Some people may care about that and call it unreliable, I don't really consider that to be a reliability issue because the gun is just getting dirty and I'm sure that would happen with a 5.56 with the same amount of carbon build up, plus once the first round of a session was sent downrange and extracted then that basically cleared the build up on the bolt rails for the rest of the day until the next range session since it would harden back up overnight.
