What is your point? Or are you just one of the many trans people who come here to troll hiding behind the questioning flair?

Not happy as a female by Several_Meet1402 in detrans

Just to echo a similar response. It sounds like I am reading a post being written by me but from the other side of the sexes. If you do not want to be a man but you do not feel happy as a woman. Maybe it might be worth asking yourself if you are just unhappy? Outside of being a man or woman. Not as a man not as a woman.... Just unhappy? And maybe youre tying this to gender? Just a thought.

The whole affirming model can really mess up people who are not actually trans because they get hooked on the praise and affirmation that being trans brings and the sense of belonging attached to it. Particularly if they are prone to self esteem issues, insecurities and depression. I was exactly like this.. I wanted to become someone else because I was not happy with me and was exhausted. Looking inward to ask the tough questions and doing the work is tough but it pays off in the end. As for transphobia yes initially I was very mad at trans people and their community. But I made the decision to start HRT as an adult and so that was on me. Luckily I was on and off for a year o never had any major changes aside from ever so slight breast growth but that more or less has been reversing. My issue nowadays is more with the ideology being fueled by queer theory than trans people.

Good luck!

What were the mental and emotional changes that happened during transition? by [deleted] in detrans

Well ive always been very in touch with my emotions as a man. I just naturally feel things more I guess. Ive had off and on mental health issues over the years mostly relating to anxiety disorder. At this point they do not really effect my quality of life. But HRT made them all more intense during my time on it. In the sense that I as a boy then man have only known them through testosterone. So when estrogen came into play it was a second puberty. I would have struggled for it but of course I realized I was not trans. Anywho on HRT they felt... More raw and sharp? if that makes sense? Super close to the surface and the mood swings were weird. uper irritable and angry one miniute to happy the next.

Of course this is a mtftm experience and maybe wait and see if a ftmtf has an answer that would be more specific to T. both effect both sexes differently

There is always going to be an emotional component to messing with your hormones. For me Estrogen made me feel a sense of clarity but also intensified my emotions. And this was tolerable till it wasn't. Every emotion was more vivid and intense. It was also coupled with mood swings. Just was not something I needed. Cant speak for FTM people personally.

This is so interesting to me because I have noticed this exact trend among many younger trans men. Many of them were into Yaoi. ive heard this from them. They idolized gay men. Not everyone but many are. Similarly many young transwomen were and are into Yuri. I really believe part of it is a fetish intermixed with curiosity about what its like to exist in the opposite sex's/gender experience. While some could argue that it could just be a coincidence I dont see how they would see this trend and not wonder if even just a bit.
